Ilona felt her stomach turn. They had been afraid Vincent, Delaney, and Ian might get blamed for the Prince's disappearance, but they had been careful, and she thought there was no way they could still be accused. They should have guessed that Mason's relationship with them alone would be enough for the King to suspect them.
And he wasn't entirely wrong.
"I should go back," she said as she chewed at one of her nails, "I should go back and make sure they're alright."
"You can't go back," Lucas shook his head, "You have to go get Isaac and Willow."
"But once I tell the Prince, I know he's going to insist on going back," she explained, "He loves Vincent and Delaney, and he considers Ian, a friend. He won't ever agree to leave them behind to take a punishment for something he did."
