Prince Mason didn't notice when they entered; his eyes locked on the pages of one of many books he had open on the table in front of him. A frown creased his brow, and his golden locks had fallen down to sweep across his face. The sight of him caused Ilona's heart to skip, and butterflies burst to life in her stomach.
The moment they did though, she looked away, frowning and working to stomp out the feelings. She didn't know why this kept happening when she was around the Prince. He was just a man, and she had been around men all her life with no such issues.
He may have been a Prince, but that was actually a mark against him in her mind. He had shown he was spoiled and selfish. She had heard all about his reputation with women, and even her brother was wary of the trouble he could cause.
