After Tristan's success in curing Kolvar and King Ivaasar of the terrible poison, Callan invited them to go to the hideout used by King Castian and the surviving elves.
Together they flew away from the ruins of the gigantic pillar, without a sound. They flew past the edge that was out of reach of the god-serpent Jormungand.
Callan led the way.
With his enhanced sense, Tristan could see from a distance the position of Jormungand, who had returned to the way he had first seen him, wrapping his giant body on a throne.
The monster looked unharmed. And even though the two guardian monsters that had always guarded him had not returned to him, the monster still seemed to remain calm.
The hiding place chosen by the other elves was a giant tree hidden because of its position. It was covered by other small trees, which were very numerous and irregular in position.
