"You guys were in touch after Anna left the university?" Shirley asked.
"Friends are expected to be in contact." Meredith answered.
Before anyone could say anything, Anna's phone started to ring. So, she excused herself and walked out of the room.
She didn't forget to signal Marcus to come out after a few minutes. They have something to talk about.
"So, why has Anna not considered joining your company, Meredith? You could have made her a director easily!" one of them mocked Anna.
They are pointing out that Anna can do nothing but rely on others. They are also mocking the twins for not helping their so-called 'friend' when she is doing odd jobs for daily living.
But little they know that Anna is the owner of the company while Marcus and Meredith were employed by Anna to handle the business. After all, she is busy investing her time in tedious work like managing a company.
