At night, they stayed in the resort that was near to the place where they had supper.
Aiden booked two presidential suites which are across from each other.
They bidded their good night's and went to sleep. As Kyra was too exhausted, she slept well.
Maybe it is because she knows that she is free from all the monitoring and 'looking after', she slept in peace and only woke up when her biological alarm woke her up at early morning 5am.
She would never miss her morning run no matter where she is. So, he quickly changed into active wear and reached the park attached to the resort.
She thought of waking up Aiden but decided not to do it. Firstly, they decided to start as strangers this morning. Besides that, he could be tired.
Anna quickly finished three laps and sat down at the bench and looked at the sunrise.
This beautiful scenery filled her heart with refreshing joy.
"Water?" a male voice came from behind.
It was some blond guy, in shorts with headphones on.
"Uhm...Thank you?" Anna said, taking the bottle. Why is this stranger offering water to her?
"Thank the guy who asked me to send this to you. And.. he gave this note" the blond guy handed her the note and then went back to eun.
Anna looked at the guy amused and then opened the letter given by him.
'Hello, Stranger.'
It is what is written in the letter.
Chuckling, she took a sip of water and stood up to continue her run.
Before she could get on to track, a girl, a cute five years bun ran to her and tugged her hand.
When Anna saw the child, she was stunned for a second. Her eyes filled with nervousness and panic but she eased her expression and returned the smile.
"Ms. Beautiful, you are sweating a lot. Here is the towel" the girl spoke and took out a fresh towel from her bag and passed it to Anna.
"And, this note is given by Mr. Handsome who gave me this big chocolate." The girl added and passed the note as well.
Before Anna could say anything, the girl ran away.
Anna looked at the receding figure of the girl with a complicated look and she could only compose herself after the girl disappeared.
After using the towel to wipe the sweat on her forehead, she opened the note.
'Breakfast. Table 9, VIP section.' is written in that note.
Anna looked at it for a brief time and then went back to her room to freshen up and go for breakfast with a 'stranger' who sent her the water and towel.
Dressed in jeans and a simple turtle neck top, she paired it with a trench coat. Her long hair was tied in a high ponytail, accenting her beautiful cheekbones.
And as expected, Aiden was sitting at the table, waiting for her.
By coincidence, he is wearing a turtleneck T shirt and a trench coat just like her.
Their outfits are similar to couple outfits.
As it is just a coincidence, Anna didn't comment on anything and sat down, facing Aiden who was looking at the menu.
"Thanks for the bottle and towel." Anna thanked him, clueless how to act like a stranger and start the conversation.
"It's just a simple thing. No need to thank me for that." Aiden said.
"I am Aiden Fletcher." he introduced himself surprisingly, he is good at this.
"I am Anna Lopez." Anna introduced herself as she played along. Though this is strange, she is kind of enjoying this refreshing idea.
"Here on a vacation?" she asked.
"Just a weekend getaway. What about you?" he asked as he passed the menu to her.
Anna didn't take it. "I already ordered." she said.
"And, yeah, I am on the weekend getaway as well." she added.
"I came with a friend but he bailed on me to meet some stranger." Anna added.
"What a coincidence. My friend who I brought with me has also left to meet some stranger." Aiden played along.
He knows that this is funny and it's kind of lame as well. But the main thing is, Anna is having fun.
That is what it matters.
Moreover, they can't enjoy this weekend if they keep on bringing something from their past.
Acting as strangers, though it's stupid, is fine.
Anna chuckled. She is having fun.
Before they could continue with their chit chat, the server came with their breakfasts and served them.
Aiden ordered her favorite dishes. All of them are to her liking.
Meanwhile, Anna ordered the oatmeal pancakes, fresh juice and salad. These used to be Aiden's daily items for breakfast when they were together.
Aiden smiled. "This is my usual breakfast," he told her.
"They might be little different, Mr. Fletcher. " Anna said.
"Speaking of breakfast, the items you ordered are surprisingly to my taste." she added.
"What a coincidence." Aiden smiled at her and ate a piece of pancake.
As soon as he tasted it, he froze.
She is true. This is his usual breakfast but it tastes totally different.
It's been years since he got the same taste. He could tell that Anna made them without an ounce of doubt.
He looked at Anna in surprise. No wonder, she is a bit late to breakfast. He thought that she was having a long, relaxing bath after morning exercise but she was cooking for him. This resort has the facility where guests can cook and chefs will assist them. She should have asked for that service.
Anna didn't dare to look at him. She knows that if she sees the look in his eyes, it will be hard for them to continue this strangers act.
Aiden, of course, understood why she was not looking at him. So, he quickly changed the topic and they had a good time during their breakfast.
