GURA, SOUTHERN HAVEN (DARKBLOODS TERRAIN)
He stood there watching the two suns from his window. He loved watching them. A day never passed without him watching the suns set. They normally reminded him of his beautiful wife, taken away from him by those hypocritical set of monsters.
But that day, he didn't have his late wife in mind. That day was a day of victory. A day in which the dreams of his family and people had been fulfilled.
He could recall when his father had talked about having the power of time and how great it would be to be master of time. His father knew that the darks were not meant to be living the same manner as the humans nor greybloods. They were meant to rule. Not to be treated as monsters, but as gods and superiors. His father never stopped talking to him and Zino, his elder brother about the power of time. Dícara loved the idea and made it his mission to rule over the universe. Zino on the other hand, hated that his father sought for powers to rule over the world. He believed in freedom and he was never in support of his father's desire. This resulted to hatred between the two brothers and further led to the death of Zino. Though no one knew who really killed the crowned prince of Gura, every darkblood blamed the greybloods. Their reason being that he died in greybloods land when going for a hunt with his darling younger brother, who himself testified to it being the handywork of a greyblood. He had delivered a wonderfully arranged story and decorated it with tears, and every single darkblood bought it-apart from Areo, Zino's best friend who didn't exactly know at the time of the cause of Zino's death but was aware of the hatred the brothers shared.
The death of Zino ignited the dormant anger in the hearts of the darkbloods. They protested and demanded for the life of the King of the greybloods, since his son wasn't the heir to his throne but his daughter, and they believed that the blood of the crowned princess will not equal Zino's. At that time, the greybloods were celebrating their UNO MINKJASH (Festival of the moons), which is a time where they appreciate the three moons, Laci, Eaxi, and Ionax, for peace granted on them. Dícara who was the leading Protestant of the darkbloods, declared that if the King doesn't surrender himself for justice to take place, they would evade the greybloods, knowing that during the UNO MINKJASH Festival, they don't fight. The King of the greybloods who was already sick and ageing, probably breathing his last, surrendered to the darkbloods. Though all the greybloods detested that their loved King was killed for nothing by the darks, they moved on when his darling daughter, princess Ulana became Queen of Rexan (Northern Haven).
Dícara madness for his dream didn't stop there, it later led him in killing his dearly beloved father who meant everything to him. The night in which he killed his father, his father had invited him into his Chambers and had embraced him. That was strange because his father wasn't the type to show emotions. They had had a brief meal and his father had told him for the first and only time, that he was proud of him.Though it sweetened Dícara's heart to hear those words, it didn't prevent him from poisoning him, and later covering his tracks by blaming his father's death on a young maid servant whom he had found out, secretly was a greyblood but was born and bred in Gura and this added to the hatred the two lands had for each other.
Months later, Dícara was made King of Gura. His joy knew no bounds, and for the first time in his life he had power. But that power wasn't enough, it wasn't even close to enough. He didn't just wanted to be the King of Gura, he wanted to be a god of the universe.
As Dícara stood by the window, lost in his thoughts, a young maiden walked in, her hands were slightly shaking and her face, terribly pale.
With a soft calm voice she said, "Mi Lord, your daughter, lady Kronei, demands your presence in her Chambers".
Dícara, though not seeing her, could sense the fear, he could hear the loud rhythmic beating of her heart. He could also tell that she was new. He smiled slightly. He knew his daughter must have disposed the previous one-like she always do. He turned around and gave a broader smile when he saw that he was right. She was new, and she was definitely scared to her bones.
With her voice shaking seriously, she managed to say, "She says it's of great urgency".
"Did she mention of what matters it's about".
"No. Mi Lord".
"You may leave".
She bowed her head and walked hurriedly out of the throne room. Dícara wondered of what his daughter wanted to say to him. The last time they had spoken to each other, she had told him something which still seemed to trouble his mind, though he didn't make it known to her that it infact made him restless.
With a heavy heart, he walked out of the room.
EARTH (HUMANS TERRAIN)
"We have to do something"
"Something like what?"
"I don't know. But we can't just let them take all of them away".
"Yes we can. And we for sure would if you keep talking restlessly".
"I'm just trying to help"
"Yeah, you are doing a great job at preventing me from thinking".
"Kitara, I know you don't care about humans. But I do. And I can't watch..."
"-Ok fine. Go ahead. Do something. Run straight to hundreds of darks and stop them".
They both hid between some parked lorries outside a prestigious hotel, silently watching the darkbloods laughing as they carried the humans from a large truck into the hotel. After a few minutes, Kitara said, "Liya".
"What?"
"I think I might have a plan".
"Great. Hope it's a good one".
"Well ummm about that. No. It's nothing close to good. It's rather awful".
"Trust me, nothing is worse than doing nothing".
"Trust me too, this one is worse than doing nothing".
"Ok, how bad is it?"
"It's suicidal".
"Wow".
"Yeah. It's a no no".
"But it's our only option. So spill it out".
"You're sure?"
"Totally".
"The plan is, you are going into that building to...".
"What! No I'm not going...", kitara covered Liya's mouth with her palm.
"Shhh, would you let me land before you start freaking out".
"Well I'm definitely not going anywhere near those darks".
"Look. If this works out well, nothing bad will happen. You are just going to go in and will be out in a few minutes".
"And if it doesn't ?"
"Like I earlier mentioned. It's suicidal."
"But I think I can modify your plan. How about you go in yourself. By the way you are strong and I'm just human."
"No. It wouldn't work."
"Why wouldn't it."
"If you go in. I'll be here to back you up in case things go south. But if I go in and things go south, there's nothing you are going to do, and believe me you wouldn't last a day out here without me."
"So both ways is suicidal."
"Yeah."
"So we are gonna die anyway."
Kitara patted Liya's shoulder, "If things go well. We... may survive."
Liya gave Kitara a long look, "Ok let's do this."
GURA(SOUTHERN HAVEN, PRINCESS KRONEI'S CHAMBERS)
"Kronei, I thought you will be having your rest after such a stressful time that has lasted for years. You should probably be feasting and having a good time like everyone else."
"There would be a time for that. But that time isn't near and it's definitely not now."
"What do you mean, Kronei?"
She turned around from the mirror she had been facing. Her eyes were like white and shiny smoke, illuminating the dark room, which was closed with garments, so as to prevent any form of light from penetrating. Her body was marked with strange silver vein-like drawings. She had a white garment on with no shoes. She was adorned with many Bangles and necklaces, most made up of bones and remnants of people. She didn't look happy like the rest, she looked frustrated and drained. "It isn't over, it isn't over. It has just begun".
"What has begun? What are you talking about? Explain."
"That's all I know, that's all."
"No. There has to be more. So tell me."
"That's all I know. If there's more to say, I will call for you whenever." She turned back to face the mirror, hand clasped between her knees.
Dícara stormed out of her room, breaking one of her ornaments in the process. He went straight into his Chambers and requested for an immediate bath. His head was in chaos and felt like it was exploding in a short time. What could she have meant? What has just begun? He had won. Hadn't he?
EARTH (HUMANS TERRAIN)
"Have you done it?"
"Yes, I have."
Liya looked at herself all-round." What exactly did you do."
"I changed your smell. So that they wouldn't be able to perceive that you're human."
"Are you like a kind of Witch."
"Something like it."
"Wow. That's just great."
Kitara took a quick look around, and said," Wait here, I'll be back in a minute."
"Hold on, where are you... " Kitara was already gone. Liya waited fearfully for kitara's return, looking about curiously. Luckily, Kitara didn't stay long, she was back in a couple of minutes. With her were some darkbloods garment which had rough edges and broken hems. "Where did you go?"
"I went to get these." She said, dumping the clothes on Liya. "Get in those."
"What!"
"We don't have much time to waste. So get in those. Now!"
Liya looked at the clothes, highly irritated, she said in almost a whisper, "Whatever." As she wore the horrible looking garment, she asked Kitara, "What exactly I'm I looking for in there?"
" You are going in there to get an estimate of how many darkbloods are inside, and what they are doing to the humans. So you are going to go through the left side entrance. Don't worry, I've cleared there for you. Hopefully they won't notice before you are out. The building is large, so you don't need to scout it all. You just look round the second floor and count the numbers there then we'll multiply it by... how many floors does the building have?"
" I think twelve or thirteen."
" Ok. So we multiply it by fourteen."
" But I said twelve or fourteen."
" Yeah I heard you. But we have to imagine the very worst, ok."
"Not ok."
" Great. You look more like a darkblood now, and smell like one too." Kitara said faking a smile.
" Not helping."
"Ok whatever. Just go. Now"
