Fabian laughed hard, "There was no way a kid like you who had just gotten to camp would have beat me."
Jerome shrugged. "Okay, I won't argue with you on that. What I do want to take up with you is why you sent Rebekka to come between my Luna and I."
Fabian paled visibly for a moment. "You guys are childhood friends. Why would I stop a pack member of mine from coming to see her childhood friends? Her family only joined my pack because her mother wanted to be closer to her parents."
Jerome smiled coldly, "Of course, it was incidental that her father became your father's Delta soon after the move."
A shrug of helplessness was all Fabian gave in reply before saying, "I can't really speak for my father's administration. That's a conversation you'll have to have with him."
Jerome nodded. "I see, incidentally, like her father, Rebekka is a power-seeker."
Fabian gritted his teeth before easing his facial muscles into a smile. "Is that so?"
