"Hello..."
The voice echoed through her ears. Her heartbeat perplexed contracting her chest.
"Hello" She greets cautiously. Maybe she is his assistant.
"You are looking for Kyle?" Her voice was smooth and honest, she wasn't aware that the more she uttered words, the more the fear intensified in Amy's heart.
"Yes," She composed her voice to sound calm.
"He is in the bathroom now..." The voice sounded lovely, she sounded happy and content. Tears well up in Amy's eyes.
"Oh, okay" Her tears were choking her, she can't talk longer.
"Who should I say called so he can get back to you?" The female voice still maintained her calmness and sweetness.
"Natasha" She hangs up right after replying. He won't call back, because he doesn't know this name.
She lolls on the bed and covers her head with the bed cushion, covering her sobs. Why does it feel she has been cheated on when they are not together? In a week, he replaced her. What a scumbag! He is not worth her tears.
She sits upright and wipes her tears confidently looking like a woman who just got redemption. She stares at the wall and fall on the bed and starts sobbing again. That douchebag!
"Are you grieving?"
Hearing the voice ring in her ears is infuriating. She grunts.
"Do I look I am grieving to you?" She mumbled the words with her stares on the chandelier.
"Are the tears for decorating your face?"
"Oh wow! mock me but you are not any better. You are the one grieving here" She raises her voice.
"I was just asking and...I am not the one crying right now" Footsteps echo over the sudden piercing silence.
"Wait..." She murmurs. "I am sorry Peace"
He swerves his head and gaze at her then let out a playful smile. He walks back and strides to the door leading to the balcony.
"Why do you love rooms next to the balcony so much? At home, everywhere we go..." He shakes his head.
"Even in my house, my bedroom must lead to the balcony" She smiles warmly.
"Why?" He asks with a soft and thoughtful voice.
"I get to have a beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset every day. And that is perfect" She turns her gaze to the open door. Watching the slow undisputed motion of the silk linen curtains swiftly moving side to side. It is beautiful.
"The view is beautiful" Peace replies after a long pause in their conversation as he gazes at the ground from his stance.
His eyes had a view of the sand beach and the ocean. His eyes land on a yacht with lights radiating in a distance with a resemblance of stars. It looks like a dot in the middle of the ocean. His heart sank. He felt her arm hang on his shoulders dragging his weight down.
"What kind of embrace is that?" He frowns.
"The one that draws your mind from drowning in the ocean" Her face form a smug and he narrows his gaze at her with a bit of annoyance.
She removed her arm and stand next to him silently observing the beach and the ocean. A moment of silence stretched between them. Amy is trying to figure out a way she can talk Peace into opening up about the earlier incident. She is aware that the incident seems to have a connection to him. But how, is the reason she needs to know. Something does not feel right. Like the beginning of a tragedy. It was nice, then an incident changes something, suddenly everything is changed and nobody saw it coming.
"Was she close?" She rubs her arms trying to soothe herself.
"Yes," He answers curtly. "Did you break up with Kyle?" His face transforms into a grim expression.
"Yes" Her heart sank at her recallment of the earlier events. "Who was she?" She probes trying to soothe her breaking heart with other interests.
"Wendy. The one who got away" He let out a faint smile and turn his gaze to Amy to observe her reaction.
"Really?..." Her jaw dropped. "I can't believe I finally met the beholder of your heart..." she was in disbelief but her face suddenly turned to a sad face. "I am sorry Peace". She realises that her brother must be going through great grief. Losing her the first and reuniting through death, that's a tragedy.
" Yes, it is a tragic love" He feels his chest contract emitting sharp pains that spread through his body making his body feeble. He needs to sit down. He walks to the bed and settles there hiding his emotions.
"The fault in our stars" She feels like they are both going through grieving states even if their grief is in different states for different causes.
"I wish she died knowing that I did love her" His lips contort a faint smile but his eyes were becoming a bit teary.
"Brother there was nothing you could have done. It was an unnatural death" She turns and stride towards Peace and sits next to him.
"I know...but..."
"There's nothing you could have done...you didn't know" She counterparts his sentence.
He sulks, he feels helpless.
"I should have seen it coming" He mutters with a painful voice. He clears his throat.
"So tell me, why are you crying?" He gazes at her.
"Kyle has moved on" Her voice cracked
"Really?" He asks startled by her words. "Are you assuming or know for a fact?" He raises his eyebrow at her.
"Why would I lie? Just to cry for fun" She scoffs. He glances at her with disbelief. He could see the pain in her eyes but he is unable to connect her statement to Kyle's actions recently.
"How did you find out?" He asks with inquisitiveness giving her an intense intrigued glance.
"Through a call" She murmurs. She glances at him and he was sighing. "A lady answered...you know what I am not crazy" Jer voice starts to raise.
"Yes, you are not, you are just jumping the gun" He bit his lower trying to his grin. It was funny to witness his sister's jealousy.
"Argh! Get out! I just can't deal with you" She is vexed, she thought he would sympathise and console her, but she obviously does not know her brother. "Out!" She yells at him.
He slowly vacate the room and burst a peal of laughter in the hallway. She could hear his piercing laughter. Ugh! She is infuriated by his reaction. She is hurt by Kyle and on top of that, her brother finds her hurting a joke. This is the worst day ever!

"What the hell!" He yelled, " Why did you pick it up?" His voice was fierce and thick.
"Because it was ringing" Her voice is meek and shivering.
"Why did you do that?" He stares at her with a burning gaze. She bit her lower with her bare shoulders exposed. Her mini slit silk dress exposed her long legs. She didn't know what to say.
"What are you doing in my room?" He grits his teeth in vexation rubbing his temple.
"To pick up the papers" She lowers her head and her eyes land on his V line digging on his lower torso. She could stare at his exposed sexy upper torso all day. How she wish that just a mere fingertip could touch his skin. It looks smooth. She could dig her nails into his skin and moan till her well runs dry in pleasure.
"Looking like that..." He felt defeated. He was so infuriated that it hadn't dawned to him he was half-naked. His lower torso was the only part wrapped in his bathroom towel.
"We will talk about this tomorrow. See yourself out" He gives her a warning gaze and she gradually strides out of the room with her head held low. Another failed attempt, she thinks to herself.
He let his bathroom towel fall on the floor exposing his trimmed lower torso. He glides towards the luggage placed next to the desk. He has no time to waste he has to dress up and address this misunderstanding with Amy.

On the hallway, walking towards the hosting room, a lady with a strong perfume that tickled her nostrils passes her. She gently rubs her nose.
"That is just too much perfume for one body" She complains to Nick who was walking beside her.
They turn their heads to have a glimpse of the body sauntering her way away from them. She is tall and elegant. Her silk short dress made her legs to be the centre of attention. She was walking confidently, she owned her attire.
"She looks ravishing" Nick slowly scrutinises her fading image.
"Yep, her legs are very sexy," She remarks. They giggle as they enter the hosting chamber.
