I sighed as Father pulled the shadows away from us and I crawled out of bed. "I am going to get a shower then I will meet you all down stairs." I tell them
"Okay sis." Xavier said and Mother dragged him out of the room and Father followed them. I smiled. After my shower I dressed and headed down Maxwell was leaning against the wall across from my door.
"So should I call you grandfather?" I asked him as we started walking.
That made him sputter and I laughed as I joined Logan who was speaking to Tacal. "Day's blessing!" I said with a smile.
"Day's blessing, what did you say that has our teacher flustered?" He asked me.
"Did you know my dad was his first travel adopity?" I asked him.
"No." He blinked and I smiled.
"Well I asked him if I should call him Grandfather." I gave Logan a toothy grin.
"Oh." His crystal eyes looked from me to Maxwell then back to me. "Well I mean his travel adoptions all call him Father except your Father." Logan hummed as we got on the elevator.
"I told that brats to stop, he's the only one that listened to me." Maxwell huffed as he leaned back against the wall.
"Grandfather it is then." I smiled at him.
"You're asking for a hard training match." He huffed at me and I smiled at him.
"Come now grandteacher." I giggled at him as he growled at me.
"That is even worse." He huffs.
"You seem to be feeling better today." Tacal said to me.
"I had some sense talked into me." I nodded at the werewolf. "Thank you for putting up with me yesterday." I said softly.
"You were no worse then some of the females I have met at that time of the month." Tacal said and I blinked at him.
"I am not sure if I should be insulted or not." I said.
"I am not getting into that." Logan mutters to himself as he grips his nose as the doors open.
"Come let us get breakfast." Tacal huffs.
"I am glad not that bad." I said with a pissed off grin on my face.
"Someone was an idoit this morning." Loren said from her spot as she sipped her blood.
"Lets just remember no coffee for anyone it acts like venom." I remind them.
"It's a little late for that." Madga said as she sipped her blood.
"Ho.." I stopped as a bloodbound vampire ran a few circles around us and I sighed.
"Great." I said softly.
"That is what I said." King Auther said sipping his blood.
"We told the waiters no coffee for any other vampires after this happened." Uncle Icarus said from where he sat beside the other kings and queens.
"I want to laugh." Queen Nela said as she watched him.
"You should have seen Prince Matthew when he got a hold of coffee." I huffed.
"I almost grounded his arse because I thought he got a hold of venom." Logan sighed as he picked up a goblet of blood.
"Maybe telling him to run the effects off was a bad idea." I said.
"No, that was a good idea. He was the idiot who ran right past me and all but into me on his way out the castle." Logan huffed.
"Yea that was a silly move." I agreed with him.
"Yea I would say so." King Horis huffed a laugh.
"Let's hope he works out the energy before we get on the plane." Mother said as she sat beside me and Xavier sat beside her with a plate of food.
"Did you find anything good?" I asked him.
"Yup." He said before he started munching.
"Okay." I said, reaching my hand out behind me catching the arm of the running vampire.
"Yes, can I help you Lady?" He asked me.
"Why don't you go outside and run you have almost ran into someone five time already." I said to him and he looked at his king.
"She is right go." He said waving him off.
"Yes My King Yes Lady." He said as he took off.
"If I ever need to move at the speed of sound I will have some coffee since it seems to be everywhere out here." I huffed.
"I know right?" Queen Nela said as she laughed. "Though I have tried the cold version of that drink you like and I like it better."
"Well we have a few things we have found to import but I wonder what we can export?" King Author said.
"We have the smithy and jeweler work." I remind him.
"We also have no idea how to work with their currency. Most of the time we pay for things with time." Queen Breanna said.
"True." I agreed. "Polos are normally only used in bets of for good that we can not give time for."
"I was wondering about that." Mother said with a hum.
"What do you mean by pay with time?" Tacal asked.
I stopped and thought of it. "Say I want to order something from a jewler I would give them an idea of what I want and then I would work for many hours with that jeweler to pay it off." I explained.
"What about blood?" Mother asked.
"Blood is given out, it's not something that is paid for." Logan said.
She just blinked and nodded at that. "Okay." She said softly.
"Hey Dia." I leaned back looking at Kat.
"What?" I asked her.
"I am not sure what is wrong with Keith." She said and I get up and followed her.
"What do you mean?" I asked her.
"I don't know." She said as she led me back to the elevator and we went back up and went to his room where we found him curled up on the floor in the corner muttering.
"Keith?" I asked as I moved over to him.
"My Lady, can you make the shadow beast leave me alone?" He moaned as he gripped his head.
"Sure sure keith. I said removing every shadow in the room, unsure what is wrong. "Did you eat or drink anything before the shadow beast showed up?" I asked him.
He nodded really fast and pointed towards a bottle on the table. "I had some of that and then the room was spinning then the shadow monster came."
"Okay okay I need you to sit up for me?" I said to him,
"I am not sure I can." He said as he hiccuped.
"What should we do?" Kat asked me.
"Go get my mom and Logan." I told her.
"Right!" She said as I looked at Keith's silverish blue eyes as he looked back up to me.
"You are so pretty My Lady." He said.
"Thank you Keith." I said softly.
"And nice. Our king is lucky to have you." He said as he leaned against the wall. "You know your father would not let anyone court you? I asked him once. You have always been so strong, My Lady."
"I am flattered Kieth but you need to focus through. How much of that stuff did you have?" I asked him.
"A mouth full, maybe two." He said. "It tasted funny."
The door opened and Mother King Logan and Queen Breanna came in. "What is that bottle on the table?" I asked them.
"Oh god he drank this?" Mother asked, holding it up.
"Yes." I answered her as
"It's vodka, it's alcohol." Mother said. "He's drunk." She said softly.
"How can we get him undrunk?" Logan asked.
"How much did he have and when?" Mother asked me.
"A mouth full, maybe two." I said before turning back to Keith and leaned back as his eyes started turning red. "Breanna get my mother out of here." I said as I grabbed him as he tried to move past me and I slammed him into the wall.
"Right." She said and he hissed at us as he grabbed me and tried to pin me to the floor. Logan was over us and grabbed him by the hair and pulled him off me.
"What the hell do you think you're doing Keith?" He demanded.
"She took my pray." He hissed as he was forced to his knees.
"Whatever the hell that is, we need to make sure no one else gets some." I said as I wrapped shadows around his arms and legs to make him unable to move.
"There are a lot of trial and errors going on with drinks." Logan said and he sighed.
"Can we make him vomit? Do you think that would make it end quicker?" I asked him.
"That would be the best idea." He said softly as he lifted him and took him to the bathroom.
He could not fight it as he forced him to vomit and once we made sure his stomach was empty we put him on the bed and waited. After a half hour he groaned and blinked up at the ceiling almost unseeing. "What the fuck happened?" He asked as he rolled his head towards us and blinked. "My King, My Lady?" He asked.
"Hey, what is the last thing you remember?" I asked him.
"I took a drink of something then the world went weird. What happened? Did I hurt someone?" He asked us.
"No thanks but no more drinking things we don't know how it affects the vampire body and mind." I told him.
