Daniel and Megan reached K city...in the late evening, called for a cab, Megan called her dad Mr Felix and informed that they have are back safe, as they reached Reid's... Megan hesitated for few minutes, Daniel saw her hesitation and held her hand in his palm.... and said,
"I am here with you, no one will hurt you anymore, Meg, I promise you that...come let's go"
Daniel, pulled the language in one hand while holding Megan in another into the living room, to see his mother, sitting on the couch watching a TV show, seeing Daniel, Mrs Abel got up from the couch, walked to him....and said with tears streaming from her eyes...
"Danny, You are back, I missed you so much, I even sent Becka back from here, You will not leave me now... please Danny don't leave me...."
Daniel let go of Megan's hand and walked to his mother, and hugged her,
"Mom, I promise you, I will never leave you... please don't hurt Megan, that's all I ask...don't cry mom, your health is not in good condition"
Megan watched at her hands in the air...and thought to herself
"So this was Daniel Reid, who can give up anything, as soon he sees his mother's tears...."
as she gazed at them sadly, Mrs Reid lifted her head from Daniel's shoulder, sneered at Megan...With her own thought,
"Game starts now Megan, will see who my son chooses me or you, I will bring living hell on you... your to trying taking my Danny away from me"
Megan was puzzled by her provoking look, didn't wanted to bother with them both, she pulled her bag and walked up the steps to the attic... when Danny came to the bedroom, after consoling his mother, he saw Megan coming out of the washroom, in her bathrobe... the wine red bathrobe, literally complimented Megan's skin... she looked so gorgeous, with that fresh look on her face.... her long dark night hair, half wrapped in a white towel, Megan was wiping her hair from excess water, and walked slowly to her dressing table, pulled out the hairdryer to dry her hair, but Daniel took the hairdryer from Megan's hand and said in a low husky voice, which was sending shivers under her spine....
"I will do it, Meg"
he carefully, dryer her hair... Megan didn't speak a word to Daniel she didn't know what to speak with him, just watched the man in the mirror, Daniel finished drying her hair... kissed her on her crown... and said
"Don't think too much, go to sleep, I will take a quick shower..."
Megan nodded her head, watched the man walking elegantly towards while pulling out his tucked white shirt, and unbuttoning it, he turned when reached the washroom door, for Megan to see how sexy her husband was, but Megan was not in the mood to appreciate his cham today, as she was confused by what Daniel just said to his mother if he was promising his mother, he's never going to leave her, then she Megan Felix will never going get away from this never-ending mental torture, as Megan was pondering in her heart, the washroom door opened.
Megan closed her eyes pretending to sleep, as she had no courage to confront Daniel... Daniel walked to the closet, changed into his pyjama, came to see his little minion sleeping facing her back to him, he thought she must be exhausted by the long flight from Maldives... he pulled her, hugged her from back and slept...
The next day Daniel opened his eyes to see no sign of Megan next to him, when he touched the place where Megan slept, it was cold, Daniel got up in hurry to see where Megan was and found her sitting alone on her swing, hugging herself, in the sit out in the attic, which she prepared according to her taste... completely grass mat covered floor, with some indoor plants, a small two-seater swing, and a coffee table, and small two comfy bean bags... this place looked very peaceful, to sit and watch the sunrise....
Daniel walked to Megan sat next to her holding her in his arms.... Megan was so cold, Daniel thought,
"When did she come here to sit, with such thin cloth...."
Megan turned to Daniel with a small smile on her face, she didn't know how to react to him... has she as seen how venerable Daniel can be when his mother is in tears... Daniel held her close to him, passing some heat from his body to her... and asked
"Meg, why are you sitting here all alone, when did you get up, look how cold you are, can't you wear some more clothes"
his blubbering was funny to Megan, she just put her finger on Daniel's lips and said,
"Shhh... Shhh...., just see how beautiful the morning is, I was not able to sleep, so I came out to see the sunrise, you should go down, your Mom must be waiting, can please get me some milk, I want coffee"
"Why didn't you go to the kitchen to get your coffee, Meg, how long you're waiting for me to wake up"
"For a while... your mom was cooking breakfast in the kitchen if I walk in just like that she will be offended, so... I waited for you to get up"
"Meg, I have spoken to Mom yesterday, she's guilty of treating you like that... ok, she even wanted to apologise to you, last night but I denied her, saying you must be tired, so please Megan give her a second chance... she's changed"
Megan had a bitter smile on her face while thinking....
"The person who gave me such a provoking smirk yesterday while hugging my husband, as changed... what joke"
Daniel shook Megan's shoulder and asked,
"Megan, what are you thinking... go change we will go down, I need to go to Jack's place, see what help he needs for his wedding...are you coming with me to Brains"
Megan shook her head and said,
"you go down, I will clean up and come, I need to go to University, I will join you guys for lunch..."
Daniel nodded, riffled her hair, and walked into the washroom, Megan saw his back, with a sad face... Daniel came after his shower, dressed in a white t-shirt and black jeans, went down for breakfast, Megan made a call...cleaned up changed into an ankle-length peach colour maxi gown, put on light makeup, painted her lips with a peach colour mate lipstick, tied up her long hair to a low bun, with some stand of hair falling to sides, wore a single string pearl necklace, with a matching pearl stud and a bracelet... walked out with her 3inch silver heels embedded with pearls.... Megan walked down the stairs of the attic with a package and a file in her hand, when she entered the dining room, Daniel choked on his food, seeing his Goblin.... she was looking stunning.... Daniel swallowed his food with difficulty and asked...
"Hai Goblin, where to... "
his eyes were popping out, he was not able to control himself from getting up and walking to her... and merge that lipstick of her with his lips... but seeing his family, he sat there, Megan just smiled at him and turned to Mia and gave the package and said...
"Mia this is for you, I didn't shop much this time... "
and she turned to Daniel and said...
"I am going to university, will see you for lunch, at Brains... bye Danny"
"Hai Goblin, have breakfast, you said, you want coffee, where are you going now...not even having your coffee"
As Daniel finished, Mrs Reid... said
"Megan, I made your favourite breakfast, come and have some darling..."
Megan choked at what Mrs Reid said, and thought to herself....
"Darling seriously... what an acting skills Aunt Abel..."
She smiled and said to Mrs Reid...
"Thank you, Aunt Abel, but I am not hungry, and I am going to my Dad's office, for some work, so it's ok Aunt Able..."
Daniel looked at her in surprise, held her hands ... and asked with a worried look on his face, seeing which Mrs Abel rolled her eyes....
"Why are you going to Dad's office, suddenly... what happened Meg..."
"It's nothing, I am just missing him... I want to just... never mind, you carry on with your breakfast... bye"
Megan pulled her hands from Daniel's hand and walked out with her file,keys, wallet and mobile, as everyone watched her. Mr Reid felt something was not ok and turned to Daniel and asked...
"Danny, what happened why does Megan look somewhat different... she's never been this detached, and what was that file she had..."
Daniel shook his head, while Mrs Reid said...
"She must be angry with me, so she's avoiding Daniel too now... it's all my mistake, I shouldn't have offended Megan at first... I am sorry Danny..."
"Mom, it's not your mistake, you realise now that how good Megan is... that's enough, she will understand you...don't worry, I will talk to her"
as Daniel said he got up from his seat and walked to wash... while his thoughts drifted on Megan's behaviour, it was the first time he as seen her like this in five years after the incident in Brains long time ago, when he made her and Olivia clean the mess they made.... for a minute it scared Daniel thinking, whether she's upset again, ....
