I flew back down to my apartment. I accidentally kicked the ledge and fell on the ground. My apartment was on the second floor so it wasn't too bad. I didn't scream that's just something I don't do. Still really hurt.
I got up, and flew back up. The noise from my shoe hitting the metal ledge made a echoing sound through the halls. I got inside my room. "Hey what we're you doing out there?". "I'm sorry did I wake you, hikari?". She didn't to offend me by saying yes, but she knew she couldn't exactly say no. I apologize and ask her to try and go to sleep again. She goes back underneath her sheets. And I lay down on the ground. I think about what I'm about to do next. Thinking about it an uneasy feeling creeped up on me. I feel as though I'm going to vomit. I hold it in but sit up by the wall. I couldn't sleep that night, just sat there all night.
In the morning I immediately got up and turned on the tv. I was watching news about muggins in the alleyway. And knights finally getting on it. I check the clock, 9:07 am. Today was the 28th. I make Hikari some pancakes. This took about 10 minutes. I had to forcibly wake her up as she normally sleeps till 12:00 pm. I managed to wake her up, I told her goodbye and left.
I went to the knight's department. I walked into the room. I asked where their captain was. "He's in his office...". I reply with "Thank you", "you're welcome...master". I walk into the captain's office. "So then are you ready?".
I hurried to school. I sneaked into the alleyway where I found Hikari. The three oni men were still there. "Today is the 28th, you know what that means".
I flew out of the alleyway with great speeds. I managed to make it to school. Undetected, and hid in the back of the school. I ran to advisory. Many many students are always late so running wasn't an unusual sight.
Class went by pretty fast. Right before lunch I had science. I got to class at the right time. Ms. Mayumi seemed extra enthusiastic today. She actually came to class hopping and skipping. I took my seat all they way back to the right. She went on about physics, meanwhile I pretended to take notes. I had my hand on my eyepatch the whole class and subtly took my hand off it sometimes. Most if not all was useless to me and even irritating, so I just ignored it. Beforehand I wrote on a small piece of paper and left it on my desk in a way no one could see it unless they hovered over my desk.
After class the principal announced that everyone in every grade must meet in the cafeteria. Whenever a meeting was called like this, we were supposed to go to our advisory teacher's class line up, then go to the cafeteria. I went to my advisory and apparently got there third to last. Today absolutely no one was absent, and each class had about 22 students. There were 6 subjects, and 5 grades. The cafeteria still had enough room to fit everyone and even a little more somehow.
The principal had a throne with him for a reason no one ever understood. He announced "Today, I wanted to announce, that...". The room was silent the whole time. "We have bombes set up everywhere..don't even try moving or else!". Everyone gasped for air, they were so shocked at this news. People said what you expect them to. "We're all gonna die" "HUH!? "Run away!". I never understood why they would start yelling. If you remain quiet he wouldn't hurt you. Why do they insist on screaming? What would that solve? I guess it doesn't matter. Both Julius and Mayumi were no where to be found. I finally stopped hiding my eyepatch. And unleashed my wings.
I yell in a calm voice, "I've already disabled all your bombes..". The students all had mixed reactions. Some said stop bluffing. Some said thank god. And some continued screaming and whining for nothing. But above all, because of our social classes we learned that the clear sign of a shinigami was black wings. The principal started laughing his head off. "Oh? You disabled it!? Do you expect me to believe the word of a high schooler!? Are you dumb!? Your fellow classmates could die!". I simply reply with "yes". The principal and some suicidal kids who wanted to die for a while, started baling their eyes out. Maybe I should clear things up for them. "By that I mean, you should believe me." The principal seems really annoyed at that. "I'll do it! I'm not fucking around here! I will blow everyone up!".
"Then do it!" I say. I have a feeling the crowd caught my confidence.
"Impudent fool! If I pressed it right now I would die to!". He was already starting to slip up, now's my chance. "But you made this dramatic scene didn't you!? Surely you wouldn't have announced a bomb without an escape route!". This should gain the support of the crowd. You can't claim to have a bomb ready when you are in front of everyone, then say you can't use it because you would also kill yourself.
"FINE!" the principal is furious. Everyone is freaking out and asking what the hell I was thinking. The principal mashes the button. But nothing happened. He kept pressing it over and over and over again, to no avail. Finely I announce "You have been defeated". Everyone starts rushing to grab the principal, he tires to make up something about how this was all a prank. I pulled out a picture of the bomb. Then I led everyone to the compartment that was in each class. Inside was a special bomb with 3 wires and 1 cut wire. This allowed me to prove that the principal wasn't bluffing. And I also showed everyone the secret huge compartment underneath the throne, that could activate when he set off the bombs.
One person in a separate advisory and known to the school as one of the math nerds, asked me, "Why didn't you alert the proper authorities, or faculty members about this!?". I was waiting for someone to ask me this..."Any knight who came in here was too stylish as a result they would be too obvious, and everyone would've been blown up early, also I did ask 2 faculty members to help. And they did, but unfortunately they had to go early and they never told me why". This allowed me to gain the full trust of everyone at the school. From their perspective, I'm the one who stopped a school bombing, insured it would succeed, and made sure they wouldn't get hurt.
From the distance everyone heard screaming. Everyone rushed out check out what it was. A citizen was bleeding out. They were impaled in the stomach but all vital organs were avoided. We took the sword out, and patched up the stab wound, and immediately got her in an abundance. The sword that they were impaled with had the signs of the HEI empire, our own empire. It wasn't just her getting attacked by our own troops. It was everyone. Out of no where 5 knights who were meant to protect us approached us with their swords unsheathed ready to attack us.
All of a sudden a blue haired man about my height threw his sword in front of them and stabbed into the ground, he then did a front flip forward. He stuck the landing and picked up his sword. "I won't let anyone hurt my emperor". He then raised his sword, blue light grew from the sword. It kept getting stronger and stronger. He then swung it down one. Suddenly that blue light that grew from his sword dashed forward. The blue light went to 3 knight and all of a sudden they vanished. There wasn't a trace of them left, not even a speck of blood. The other 2 knights immediately surrendered after seeing this display of power. Everyone was shocked by that. "Yori we need to go". Yori immediately follows me.
We passed by those apartments I always walked by before heading home, I saw no knights in sight, and barley any flames. Yori did a good job of sweeping the place. We stopped by the burger shop me and hikari had lunch at once. Right by it, was the bank. Me and Yori entered. We picked a staff keycard that someone left behind. I used it to open the vault. We looked around and finally saw my account locker. We opened it. Inside, were a black and red cloak, with two gold crosses at the end of it. There was a black coat in with a golden gross on the front and a belt attached that had 3 purple diamonds on it. There were thick gloves with crosses on it, in the middle was a purple diamonds.
I quickly put this on, and looked in the reflections of the lockers. We left the bank and quickly headed for the captial.
