The next morning, Shea was still curled up to a ball at the corner while Qihe was sleeping on the cold floor as he had passed out. He was beating and hitting Shea while continuously throwing curse words at her. He was totally drunk and that was unusual because he cant stand alcohol much.
Shea flinched at the sudden sound of muffled footsteps from outside. She pulled herself up and ran to the metal bar looking outside. It was Brian and she was relieved after the worst night which she had. She wanted to punch Qihe or to be honest, she was at the verge of killing him.
"Open the bars." Brian ordered the guards as soon as he reached.
"Sir, I was told.."
"Give the key and leave." Brian gave a death glare to the guard.
"H-He was d-drunk." Shea spoke moving back for the boy to get in.
"I know."
Brian went to the man who was still sleeping hugging his own legs. He pulled up Qihe with much efforts but couldn't carry him as he was heavier than Brian and on the other side, he was unconscious. Shea looked at the man with a concerned face as he was wobbling with his friend.
"I will help." Shea voluntarily held on to Qihe's right hand while Brian held the left.
"Did he hurt you?" Brian asked.
"No, I am fine." Shea couldn't tell how much she was abused as the marks and bruises in her body had already disappeared.
"Maids told me, you were screaming here. What happened?"
"Its nothing I want to talk about." Shea kept walking upstairs with Qihe.
"Take him to the room." Brian ordered the guards after putting the mask on the boy.
Shea and Brian left the boy to the guards and walked back to the cell. Brian was not allowed to let Shea out of the cell whatever the reason was. He didn't want it to be her but it was only choice. After watching Shea being too brave to even question him irrespective of all the warnings, Brian thought she would be able to handle the situation.
"What did he do yesterday?" Brian asked giving her some water.
"Nothing."
"He wont be here for nothing. I cant help you unless you tell me what he did to you." Brian sat down next to her.
"Why are you being nice to me?" Shea asked looking at the boy.
"I am not being nice to you. Don't get the wrong idea. I don't want to rule over for no reason." Brian scoffed.
"I have my own problems. I cant stay here for long. Why am I here?"
"See, its on him to answer. You cant go from here for any reason. If you need something, I will get those for you." Brian was helpless.
"Its not something you all can help with. I need to go or else I will cause problems here which would be definitely out of your control." Shea hissed while walking to the closed window.
"I am going. Try to adjust or else fight for nothing." Brian locked the bar and went upstairs while Shea just broke down to tears.

FLASHBACK...
Ryunjin have been tagging behind Shea for the whole day as she was afraid what the girl was upto. The last day, Shea just disappeared from class and didn't show up for two days. Shea seemed off for some odd reason which Ryunjin couldn't understand so the girl was tagging along.
"I told you, I went to meet a friend." Shea muttered for the nth time.
"Which friend? Why didn't you attend classes for two days? I called you a lot of times, why didn't you respond or at least leave a voice note?"
"Its nothing. Just forget it."
Mark and Jay were coming to Shea as she was about to go to the rest room. Ryunjin saw them approaching her and elbowed her friend to walk quickly.
"Hey, stop there." Mark shouted.
"Lets gooo." Ryunjin whispered to her friend.
"If you go inside there, I will come inside to pull you out." Mark warned while running to her followed by Jay.
"Wait. I want to know what they are coming for." Shea told her friend while pushing her back to a safe distance.
"What are you doing?" Ryunjin asked again.
"So you know to listen to us?" Mark and Jay was now standing in front of them taking heavy breaths as they had to run to reach her.
"I am not getting involved with you all."
"You are talking back to us?" Jay asked pulling her hair.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Ryunjin tried to push him away.
"Why are you getting in between?" Mark pushed Ryunjin away making her hit the wall.
"What is with you? I have to go." Shea hissed pulling her hands away with much force which resulted in the boy falling down.
"Jay, are you okay?" Mark asked picking the boy up from the floor.
Shea and Ryunjin took the chance and skipped into the washroom. Ryunjin was scared and all Shea could do was to calm her down. Shea was feeling bad that she couldn't protect her friend even though she is a vampire. She gritted her teeth as she felt a pain shooting up her nerves.
"I will be right back."
Shea ran to the roof top as her vampire self was dominating. She couldn't risk her identity to anyone as it would help her family to track her. The last thing that want in this life is to go back to her clan and live the life of a monster. Shea ran at the speed of lightening and climbed up the wall as no one would come to the back side of the college. She jumped over the railing and ended on the hot cemented floor of the terrace.
"What in the world?" A voice screamed.
"Uh..." Shea looked up to see the devil himself, standing right before her with hands on his chest.
"From where the hell did you come? You really want to be killed or what?" Tan asked walking to her cutting the distance.
"I can only come through the stairs. I am not a devil like you to fly." Shea scoffed trying to hide her tension.
"Are you kidding me?" Tan asked pointing at the door, which was locked from outside.
