Provoking uncontrollable laughter and leering were heard amidst the brawlers as every one of them in their warrior's clothing flaunting their various weapons while gazing into each other's eyes waiting for who will charge at each other's throat first as the spectators roared in joy.
Jangnap, the grinning boy still in the middle of the soon to be an onslaught in his traditional royalty dress beamed at everyone on their aroused pose.
"Sadly, I was earlier told from the higher-ups, about the rules in the ignoble rumble." He announced, waving his hands in all directions.
"Look around you, your way out of here are the now unlocked wooden doors whilst during the fight if one among you thought of leaving the battle field whether by yielding or whatnot those unlocked doors are your way out of this hell… and remember, the first rule is still the same as it is. The usage of potencies and any foreign abilities are prohibited only the use of armed or unarmed combats are strictly allowed, yeah still doing it the Beast beings' way. We have extremely attentive moderators that could spot the faintest act of any potency or abilities in you when in used or about to, so if caught you will be disqualified and more, banished from our affiliation, oh, before I forget. The winner takes all, are we cool with all that? Then it's about time." With a single snap of his fingers Jangnap disappeared out of the Battle field.
Wren rolled her eyes around, every single one of them with their longs and shorts weapons except her --wasn't necessary for she trusted her fists and palms more, smirked as her eyes fixated only on Luna.
Suddenly a tattooed arm grabbed hard onto the princess's body and a double-edged blade-like fingers stretched closely to her neck. Wren glanced undaunted at it then up to the being who stupidly held her.
A weird looking middle-aged male with dyed mohawk hairdo, having scars on his forehead down to his right side of his neck, a pointed nose and insanely using his elongated tongue to lick Wren's shaved head.
"Sorry, lady Luna." The weird man croaked, raised his slit iris. "I need him to win an easy point since no one here dares to bring you down, this very tadpole will be the first to lose his life here."
The weird man's eyes inclined to Wren's glossy blue eyes.
Wren's mouth corners pointed in different directions, in a lopsided smile.
How weak his grip and intimidation was and how disappointing, she'd expected more from a being of such caliber, Lady Beth's and Luna's grips were more vigorous.
In a flash, Wren whopped him by the jaw as he bit his tongue off. He shut his watered eyes while he moaned in pain, on opening his eyes, the princess was not in his grasp at that moment, before he could move, suddenly a direct knee from Wren smashed against his long pointed nose, one could hear a fractured sound just after the hit as he staggered about falling.
Wren held back his arm.
"Don't fall yet, I thought you wanted my embrace."
Gave him a punch in the already smashed face as blood spewed all over.
He stumbled back, Wren held him back once more.
"No, you don't." Going for another punch.
The weird man curled, yelled on his knees, his forehead touching the floor as his bloody fractured nose bleeds and few bloody teeth fell off from his mouth letting out a loud, doleful wail.
"I-I suwwender!!"
Wren stopped half way.
Then she sighed as she let go his hand.
" … You may leave."
She turned to Luna still standing still who none of them wanted to fight except the princess herself.
The groaning man behind, held his smashed face slowly got upright about walking away from Wren then he bloodily smirked.
"Psych!" He chose to go for an assault just after he withdrawn, about clawing at her.
Wren invaded with a strong punch that pinned him ruthlessly back to the ground creating a slightly huge crater along sand wave.
"How disgusting."
She removed her bloody stained fist from the deformed face with a sigh as sand fell down on her and some brawlers close to her like rain.
"This is for licking my head."
Many of the brawlers and the spectators there fell silent, momentarily stunned in place petrified at the scenery then one after the other words broke out between them.
"D-did that boy just knocked down the Savage Voucher with a single hit?!"
"Who is he?!"
"Shit, he is no joke!"
"Oh my, I bet my all on that mad man!... I want my diamonds back!"
"Idiot, out of all of them you bet on him?!"
"Yes... I heard he was the most feared assassin during his reign."
"Scoff… that was then… but now…"
Many of the spectator's eyes immediately went to Luna then back to Wren, all their thoughts were, is this it?! Is this the greatest show down they are looking for?! The fight between the orphaned berserker and this young mayhem of tonight will be venerable however all eyes focused more on Luna, seeing such a lunatic fought last night without forbearance she will once again be the subjugator of tonight's battle.
Suddenly many of the brawlers surrounded Wren.
Removing such boy in the beginning of the rumble will be the best plan yet then muster every strength remaining on Lady Luna.
Wren placed her hands on her hips, her mouth half-opened, her eyes slightly squinting still in her cloak.
"Good, what are you people trying to do to a small being like me, look, she's standing at the other side strongly waiting for a fight but I am targeted one? Well," she exhaled, raised her fists up. The corner of her mouth curved up.
"I'm inching for more. Come at me with everything you got."
"With pleasure!" They all charged at her.
The princess singlehandedly beat everyone that faces her one after the other as she pushed through to Luna, another in red lashing outfits and a symbolic scarf covering from the nose down to the shoulders raged with a katana sword at Wren swiftly, a side step movement to the Princess's left along a lower slash which Wren dodged by rotating over then followed a consecutive upper and lower stabs which the princess also effortlessly dodged it all.
Wren gave a quick breathe. Staring into her opponent's rusty eyes in a stance.
The ninja looking being was fast but not as fast as her Father's quick jabs.
Suddenly, two hands wearing a rivet unknowingly grabbed her ankles from the ground then many more rushed over her malevolently swinging their weapons as the opponent with the katana sword using such opportunity closed down on Wren with a slash suddenly Luna appeared right at Wren's front as the big, sturdy lady directly received the slash.
"Huh!" The one with the katana sword wondered while leaning backwards.
Luna just stood without saying anything as she bled from the cut on her chest.
Wren bit her lip on the spot where she was tightly held down.
"I really don't need your help." She uttered, angrily sprung up expelling everyone around her then she swiftly caught an arrow that was directly aimed at Luna's neck, stared at her.
"You are welcome, as you can see I can fight all by myself—" she broke the arrow in her hand while staring at the archer in a hunter's clothing who shot it, clinging on the wall to her top right, suddenly Wren pulled backwards avoiding another slash from the opponent with the katana sword and a strike from a large mace of another.
Then she stopped as she put her hand on her face a slash that crosses her eyebrow was suddenly seen. She smirked.
"This is how it supposed to be, this feelings." Held her chest gleefully.
Her blazing blue eyes gazed only on the opponent with the katana sword.
"Hope you won't disappoint me?"
Meanwhile at a shady place, the inferior part of the battlefield.
"Hmmm." Bryan voice was heard. "The more I look… that boy seems familiar."
Bryan rubbed his chin while staring at the fights going on behind one of the wooden doors from an opening on it.
Footsteps were heard then someone approached him from behind.
"Your bet." The being voiced.
"I bet on… I don't know… " Bryan responded. "What about the two Inhumanes? They both seems dangerous, don't you think? … But I'm more surprised, a direct attack was successfully made to Lady Luna and the swift boy, hmmm… come again do you say those Inhumanes came here on their own accord, who connected them here, what are their wrongs?"
"Huh, yeah from the higher-ups. The one with the long sword came many years before so she had more fighting experience in fight like this and she was part of the champions lady Luna defeated last night but the archer came just last two nights heard she was captured by the Divine Humanes during one of their sacred missions outside the walls. Anyways, won't Lady Luna be an even bet? She's the easiest to win in all of them by the look of it. The Inhumanes might be a threat but—"
"I know, but the determination, should I also say arrogance, recklessness I see in those eyes of the boy tells otherwise… I can't possibly say who yet between those four." Bryan squinted his eyes watching closely at Wren fighting while smiling.
"Hmmm, you may be right…" The being added.
"I… I will bet on the boy." Bryan concluded but not fully sure if he should go with what his guts are strongly telling him.
"… What?!"
Bryan turned to the being. "Are you deaf? The boy. I will bet on him, tonight."
"A-alright… if you say so. I'm off."
"Contact Big-TEE when the fight is done, I have something to tell him." Bryan said.
The being nodded as he walked away, looked to his left at a being sleeping soundly against the wall.
"Shit. Why did I acted this way?" He placed his hand on his face then glanced at his right, Skylark still sleeping soundly on the ground as his lemon wings softly embraced himself never moving over the roars of joy from the spectators and the clanging of metals against each other on the battlefield. "Tsk. What should I do with you?"
Many slashes, stabs and dodges after, Wren stood amidst many arrows pinned on the sandy floor around as everyone in the battle field were either motionless, groaning on the ground or have shamelessly given up by walking away through the unlocked wooden doors around them.
Only four was left on the bloody field. Wren, Luna and the two Inhumanes.
"You fight well, for a boy… Is what I believed would be the thought of the night." Wren taunted bouncing around still full of spirit to fight more.
"Come here, you!" The Inhumane with the katana sword charged as arrows were shot from the second Inhumane at Wren.
The princess side stepped dodging a few slashes and arrows as she gazed at the archer, in one swift motion Wren went for the Inhumane with the bow in her far left, penetrating through. The princess with a feint aimed for a punch at the torso, the archer manageably dodged but slipped to the ground as Wren caught up to the archer.
Wren looked, noticed a choker on the Inhumane's neck as the princess pressed down on the bow and wrist and her other hand raised.
"Giving up, yet?" Wren questioned.
"Giving up?... yet?" The archer repeated her word with a sneer. "If I had my gothic war hammer, never will you expect nothing less. I assure you it will be a bloodbath."
"Then show it to me, where is it?" Wren looked at her hands and body.
The Inhumane with the katana charged at Wren from behind.
The princess was about to counter attack then the Inhumane with the katana was hit by Luna's kick out of no where but the Inhumane blocked the strong hit with her katana in a spur of the moment yet the force was exceptionally much it sent the Inhumane with the katana sword flying as she crashed into the wooden door far ahead.
The archer held on the sandy ground by Wren raised her eyebrows as her lips contorted with a disappointed sigh.
"I… yield."
Wren sighed also as she let go, stood and faced Luna.
"I told you, didn't I. I don't need your help. Well. It's you and I now. Let's finish this, shall we?"
Now the two finalist stood one on one as the spectators roared more loudly in joy. Who among them will win? Who among them will take it all?
It was on everyone's mind as many were very much interested in the main event, along the spectators special faces were seen; Big-TEE, Bryan, the invisible man at the door and also… The house of the Caneloveft, among them Flavius' Grandma was seen examining the fight calmly.
