The Immortal couldn't believed his eyes, looking closely enough the creature that squeezed out of the hole earlier and entered Ade in his eight arms Beast form, had three heads with three faces before desiccating on Ade's thighs, these wasn't one of so many pieces of scenarios the Humane told would happened.
He was yet again frustrated, with furrowed brows, his eye glowed yellow, his bare-muscled humped back tensed as the breaking of the ocean's body rippling on the humongous barrier was heard in the background.
She'd tell us about these two however the reason why she omitted such creature's scenery from all the stories she revealed, that I wonder… The Immortal slightly shook his head and said to himself.
Forget what was and focus on what is.
He looked straight to the possessed body below, still sitting on the calmly flowing water, resting his back on the humongous barrier while fixated back at him.
"Would you mind leaving that fragile body and kindly go back to where you came from, then we can discuss on everything you are seriously anxious about." The Immortal spoke, he knew such words won't change anything nevertheless he insisted to know if such creature would do as he was asked.
"What?... Oh, I see." The possessed body stood. "Yes. Yes I reminisce," the possessed body flittering his nose, sniffing his surroundings.
"The scents. The scenery. The weird tingling of the skin…" He elevated, two of his lower arms were folded, another two placed on his waist and the upper arms; one was placed on his jaw and the other was lowered with his eyes shut speaking while he reached the height were the Immortal was holding onto his large shell against the humongous barrier.
The possessed body opened his darkened red eyes observing the towering, wide and menacing white-crystalline barrier. "This is the very world that good for nothing supreme incarcerated we and our god when we were thrown down from the sixth empyreans or whatever they called it."
He looked at the Immortal, stretched one of his lower arm's finger lengthy to him.
"And you… are you, for us or against us?"
"Your absolute question depends on the situation you bring." The Immortal replied immediately.
"And your absolute answer depends on the situation you're doing right about now."
Suddenly, the possessed body face shook as he staggered in the air, two identical heads with faces grew, one on both sides of Ade's head.
The possessed body sighed, raised the faces to the night sky, the face on the right side mouth was half-opened with slightly squinted eyes giving off a sarcastic smile and the other on the left side gave a muscled face, frozen in deep hatred.
"Ah, feels good." The face on the center chillingly said clasping his eight arms around his possessed body, wholeheartedly embracing the new look.
Then the possessed body held the centered face, "Ugh… how my minds against the memories of this body ache all over…" he beheld the Immortal on the humongous barrier. "Yes. That black chain on you, this body's memories speak loudly on how it was said to have the power to extract the souls of the dead sending them devoid when in full use, even more than that."
That's never an ordinary chain… it is a weapon forged from those so-called Supreme beings. What's something like that doing in the hands of a being from this world? The possessed body said to himself.
On the thought of that, a grey giant crab-like creature having not even five pairs of legs but a dozen pairs of legs, thrusted out of the still ocean clapping its large claws at the elevated possessed body many feet high however a single glance from the possessed body, every part of the grey giant crab-like creature's legs intersected from its body as it shrieked leaving only the creature's carapace in place.
The possessed body soared closer to the carapace with a stretched arm while squeezing his hand without touching the creature, it distorted into what resembled a normal small war drum in crimsoned semblance, all the three faces smirked while he collected it.
"I, will gift my majesty such instrument of joy. Once he is free."
He turned to the Immortal, "and you're the only thing standing between my king and I."
Suddenly, the chain on the Immortal's body attacked the elevated possessed body, which he avoided as he spaced away from where the Immortal was.
"I hate their weapons, everyone of them has ego!" He raged meaning the weapons of the supreme has a mind of their own as he fought off the chain trying to bind him.
Then something swooshed passed him with an unfathomed speed, his eight arms along the small war drum fell into the still sea without warning.
The possessed body was bamboozled, sharply scanning the horizon then from above, saw a large blade swooping down at him, he slightly eluded almost piercing through his centered face as the large blade plunged into the sea.
"Another one…?" He was amazed as he tried shaking off the chain while airborne, rotated, made a sharply jerking movement with his leg down to the still ocean below, his leg almost touching the sea, the small war drum hovered out of the sea, dripping, thrivingly striking the drum barefooted, peals of thunders along with sonic waves that was even lethal to the Immortal's ears came out of the drum, shoving away the chain around him. Suddenly, his left face's eyes were wide opened, eyebrows slightly raised, corner of the mouth pointing downward staring in fear at the large blade reeling at him from the side along sudden strong waves, his arms immediately regenerated as he mightily stopped the weapon with all his eight arms from ripping through his chest just inches away.
He groaned while massively pushed back in great force, the sea's surface splits opened in large trails, meanwhile the small war drum followed through the line of where The possessed body was pushed, on seeing another reason to hit it, he struck the small war drum with his leg yet again while letting go of the large blade as it backed off from him at the sound of the beat.
The possessed body stood upright levitating, the water below his feet boiled, he was much more furious at the body he possessed was never up to his standard like when he was in his prime, he also knew it was a close one and won't dare a weapon of the supreme to pierce through one of his hearts. His nose suddenly bled. He groaned licking off the blood with his elongated tongue.
The body he possessed had reached his limits, continuing all these will do more harm than good. Then he sadly said, "I will be back for my king, I promise."
He zoomed off at unlimited speed before long he was out of sight.
The chain wanted to follow but the large blade stood in front blocking the chain's way, the large blade tingled a little, meaning it shouldn't go after the possessed body, the chain paused for a while then turned to his wielder from afar trying hard not to let go of his shell, it drifted straight to him, stopped briefly behind the Immortal in a way of saying goodbye to his wielder then it wrapped its body and stretched around tightly on the shell as it turned into a tattooed seal.
The Immortal dropped his hands. He felt saddened as he touched the seal. "I'm sorry… This is the fault of the Humane lady." His eyes glowed yellow once more.
"I know." An indistinct voice was heard below as fog appeared enveloping the sea's surface.
The Immortal looked. "Should the leader heed my words all this won't have happened, but he is more interested about the story of the protector meeting the useless boy than the end of the world."
"No, this is never about the leader," the voice added. "It all lies on the lack of information the Humane refused to reveal if we were to believe she is a regressor."
The bare-muscled humped back Immortal without his shell on him landed back on the sea gently, "Where is she? Let me rend the truth out of her."
"Don't go that far. If there's no wind, we should row at least, ¶π∆." The voice spoke back, just as the large blade swirled to the hand of the being within the fog.
Meanwhile on the foggy ocean's surface the swarming sea monsters swiftly encircled the Immortal. The bare-muscled humped back Immortal groaned, slightly emitting intensed aura out from his body as the sea monsters, instinctively wriggled back to the deep in fear.
"Sometimes things have to go very wrong before they can be right." The voice revealed to be while walking out of the fog, a truly-enlightened fat fair skinned Immortal lady, wearing on her head a golden-rimmed cap, wrapped with saffron clothing twice her body's size with a satin water bag about her waist as she walked mildly on the sea's surface while holding a set of large beads in one hand and the other holding the large blade.
"Ugh!…" The humped back Immortal stood trying to hold back his anger, staring beneath the sea's surface contemplating where did the Egregious being ran off to.
The female Immortal admired the humongous barrier, her silvery eyes reflecting back the barrier's faint glow.
"After so many billions of years, the barrier finally got a hole in it… let report this to the leader first, we just allowed chaos into our world."
"... Very good." The humped back Immortal responded.
Both of them vanished.
Before long, inside the humongous barrier reflected series of strange ghostly figures with subdued beastly roars as the calm sea resumed it's rage along strong waves and great storm.
.
.
.
A shadow of a flying beast being casted on buildings and grounds of the Humane kingdom as it whooshed by under the moonlit, breezing in lemon feathers swirling around the town through the cold air. The streets down from the Palace were weirdly silent only the glowing crystals hung on the poles by the sides of the paved way, attracting little flying insects fluttering all over it and small domestic creatures wandering the corners of the streets made wake there.
"Asking for permission before leaving the Palace or at the very least letting the Commander know where we are going isn't such a bad idea." Skylark phrased, in cloaked armor, gently flapping his lemon wings while he travelled through the air, he rolled his eyes to the side. "Uhm... The Divine Humane, Lord Jared and that annoying inky-eyes guy were suspicious when you boldly met me at the walking steps into the palace. What actually surprised me was that everyone including myself didn't recognized you the moments you stood there--"
"Who will stop me?" Cloaked Wren intruded, her blue eyes blazed while sitting on Skylark's cloaked armored back, the fluttering of her cloak and Skylark's breaks between her words. "You were the one who decided our escape route at the mention of the word diamond in your ears."
"Ahem… I only did what was profitable for my mother and everyone in the house. I just don't want to share such sacred items with anyone apart from them… Terms and conditions were thoroughly applied.
"Suit yourself and the reason is, you are the only one who knows the area more better than anyone I could possibly think of."
"We are here." Skylark exclaimed as Wren removed her hood off her shaved head while staring down.
They softly landed in a darkened alley, then Skylark whistled while he folded his lemon wings as Wren dropped from his back, suddenly, a figure came out of the shades, wearing a gray flannel, in his hands were glossy beam rods that faintly reflected the scene known to be Bryan, a former ally of Skylark during their days as delinquents.
"Look at you. I couldn't believed the street when I heard you finally joined the royal guards even promoted to be a personal guard of the princess. What should I call you now, 'The Princess's Boy?'-- After the unfortunate accident months ago at the entity night market which affected Emeka the most, to some degree I also thought you finally lost it by you running away from us all because of what'd happened that day however, what a great achievement."
Bryan quenched the beamed rods, rolled his eyes to Wren.
"And who is this handsome boy, you bring here tonight?"
"Boy?" Skylark swallowed while side looking Wren on his left side.
"… I don't know, you are into boys too."
Bryan glanced back at Skylark.
"The underground fight club, tell me where it's located?" Wren clearly demanded.
The man rolled his eyes back to Wren, smiled widely.
"Straight to business. I see, you are the one giving the order not Lekan Skylark the greedy angel."
"What did you just call me…?!" Skylark fumed gritting his teeth as he strongly spread his lemon wings sideways agitating the air around him.
"Hey, hey, hold that thought. Ever since you left for the 'ha-ha castle', the rules of the streets changed. There's a new Kingpin in town and you don't want to meet him. If I were you."
"Here, take this in advance." Wren threw a sack of diamonds to him.
Bryan swiftly caught it and opened it a little to check.
"Now we are talking, I like your style, 'baldie'."
He swiftly kept it in his back pocket.
"You all wanted to know if the rumors were true about a certain large lady dominating the underground fight club just after the night she debuted, some said she is from the Aurora clan 'cause of her red hair, some said she isn't, well I'm not up for that but to me she seems kind of familiar, I must have met her somewhere... someplace... "
He bowed, "well, forgive my disturbing words, I will lead the way, you just follow, smart ass boy."
After few narrowed turns and corners, they finally arrived at the front of a weird looking wooden building having a small framed door with no windows.
The man in front knocked in rhythms, he turned to Wren and smiled widely yet again.
Wren ignored, inspecting the shady area, she couldn't believed an outlandish place like this ever existed right in the very heart of the kingdom, thought to be a sanctuary city for those who needed to stay from the horrors happening outside the walls, starting from the musky smell to the begrimed surroundings and maybe the tranquility, all of these so thrilled the young princess's tender heart in love.
"Show me your pass," a voice was heard behind the small framed door.
Bryan removed a golden badge from his left pocket, showed the voice from a small opening on the door.
"Oh, a vvip!... And who are you guys lurking behind such a honorable being?"
"Allow them, they are with me." Bryan commanded.
"Oh, my apologies."
The door was shortly opened wide for them as they entered. Wren was perplexed yet again as she walked down the concreted few walking steps, the wooden building was so little from the outside yet wide and high from the inside, such rowdy place appeared to be a large taproom surrounded by concreted walking steps filled with many glowing crystals of sizes attached to the roof that twinkles in turns on every drinking oblivious muscled, rugged beings of all kinds seated there.
She turned, looked at the voice who opened the door for them a moments ago, all she saw was an invisible man wearing a top hat, a lorgnette and a gloved hands with no clothes worn.
Suddenly, five bulky beings with distinctive scars on their faces came to Bryan.
He inserted his hands in his side pockets as his thumbs stuck out while he faced them,
"It pains me to say… This is where we part ways, Skylark. I have some businesses to take care of." He walked along with the bulky beings deeper into the large taproom.
"Wait! You haven't tell us where—" Skylark uttered.
"Why should I," Bryan stopped mid way, scratching his hair then he side looked Wren and Skylark with a snuff. "The stuff, you gave was only for both of your entrance's fees. You bloody know nothing comes free. In short, I've got more businesses than you can shake a stick at."
"--We have another one, if that was what you seek." Skylark zeroed in on Wren, the princess blinked as she wondered why Skylark was staring at her so intently.
"The diamonds, princess?" Skylark whispered to her ear.
"I don't have any, I gave him all of it." Wren boldly and loudly said while gazing at the smirking Bryan.
Bryan shrugged his shoulders as he left them stranded.
"You, what? Gosh you gat to be kidding me, right? From the way you acted earlier I thought you have so many with you."
"But I don't." Wren replied immediately while staring at Skylark.
Skylark slammed his face in disappointment as he sniffled.
"This is never how things are done here."
Wren slowly tilted back her head to the walking Bryan, squeezed her fist tightly, she was about attacking, to her it was the only solution she know it works all the time.
Skylark held her back.
"Wait! Are you out--You can't just cause a scene here, look around you, every single one of them are solely on the wanted list either a moonlighter or an assassin-- any atrocious things you could think of. So it is very, very, very—extremely dangerous to start any fight among these kinds of slayers lurking here, let's just look for another way."
"Then, should we go back to my room and grab everything shiny to appease them?" Wren questioned, giving a poker face.
"Well… that's weird coming from you, do you wanna go back?"
"Hmmm." Wren smirked as the floor where she stood slightly froze. Skylark blinked in shock while staring at the freezing ground then tried hiding it with his lemon wings. "You know me too well I rather threaten and fight everyone here to tell me where the underground fight club is than to go back, snooze away on my divan."
"Well, there goes our pathfinders, I'm absolutely not surprised knowing you being you." Skylark slammed his face yet again with a sigh, musing on what to do next and slowly regretting why they were here then an idea came to mind.
He raised his face to Wren but to his amazement, Wren was no where to be found like she just disappeared into thin air.
He immediately panicked turned around the rowdy place needed to scream her name then he bit his lower lip.
"I'm so screwed…"
