At the southwestern part of the city, Jared flew around as his tummy rubbles while dodging few shots of gray arrows in forms of flashes hurling from the one with the multicolored beanie covering his head and ears. Most of his shots hitting the grounds, the collapsed buildings and few standing buildings; His small wooden guitar behind him loss every strings related to the numbers of arrows he shot at Jared as he did once again one of the string behind evanished.
"Hmmm…"
The middle-aged male having a grandiose and a muscled body was seen as his brown dreadlocks packed upward gently swaying in the cool wind, he brushed his balbo beard while kneeling on one of the building's top and his other hand on the side of his face looking as though he was pin pointing Jared's movement as he flew around.
Few moments later, Jared slowly landed on a concreted ground illuminated by few little glowing crystals attached to the walls of where he stood, having lost them he held his stomach feeling the need of food as he gazed around for a place to eat something, anything or everything that could filled his tummy; with the thought of it his tummy rumbled yet again.
"You must be hungry?" A disembodied voice spoke in a compassionate way.
Jared turned his scarred face to the direction of the voice with a critical squint however he sensed no one.
"I feel ya. Fortunately everyone living around here is out of the city in fear of their life. So aaalllll the food and drinks are untouched— turn to your left, take ten steps then look to your right you would see a pub; in it there are probably hard breads and clotted but tasteless egg and some liquor to complete the mood, you get me. Go help yourself, it's impossible for one to live without putting food into the belly."
Jared groaned a little while he pondered if the embodied voice was telling the truth or not but as this stage of his life in hope and despair, he hadn't eaten anything in weeks, who could fight in an empty stomach?
Then he spoke wanting to find out more from the voice who spoke to him.
"Why should I trust this voice?"
"Like I said before. I feel ya." The disembodied voice said, "but seriously I can't fight an opponent who is not physically fitted, you get me? It's just a favor I alone sets to any opponent I'm about to face. You are welcome~"
Jared scoffed a little then he turned to his left, he could see rolls of small-shaded empty houses, he slightly exhaled then walked carefully while scanning the whole area not to be caught by his pursuer or to be trapped by the voice directing him to a place to eat.
"The food I will eat when getting there," he stopped after ten steps then turned to his right to his amazement but he didn't show it on his face nor acted like one surprised only with a wrinkled brows and his mouth, tight and grimed. The pub was truly there—It was the same pub the beings from the beast kingdom settled in when celebrating their sales as the illuminating moon could be seen above.
"What if it's poisoned?"
"Geez. For real? Are you even Jared the Divine Humane, every kingdoms fear and talk about—When you see a storm and you see a man at the center of it—run! That's one of the many tales told about you or are you an imposter?"
"Sorry for disappointing you there, young one. I've been through worst for the past months."
"No P' I can relate. So go in there fast and eat before the remaining two get here. There are not as kind as me~"
"Alright, Alright. I'm on my way."
Jared gently climbed up the wodden steps one after the other as slowly as possible, stopped at the doorway then scanned his surroundings still he felt no present of life so he entered the pub.
What he could see was a deserted shady place only filled with upside down tables and chairs as the freckling moonlit shone through the large side windows on the tables and chairs, the pub stand down to the wooden floors then he noticed at right side corner of the deserted pub a dimmed orange light suddenly shone above directly on a single chair and table perfectly stood, on it was a well arranged plate of hard bread and clotted egg with a wooden cup of liquor.
He slowly walked to the table as the only aglow little crystal dimmed on him, slightly shadowing the food on the table.
"Hmmm. Taking your time, are we?" The voice spoke.
Then he turned to the opposite side of the perfectly set table and chair went to the ones that were upside down, turned a chair and a table to their upright positions near the large side windows as indistinct explosions and sound of thunder was heard, he walk to the pub stand took out a hard bread from the shaded drawer, saw a barrel filled with water at the dark corner up in the drawer near the bottles full of liquors: making one wonder, perhaps he had been here before? Walked back after hand picking the barrel of water to the table and chair he sets, sat down and swiftly bored the hard breads and clotted eggs into his throat with noise of chewing and swallowing filled the place after. In seconds he'd finished what was on the table, hit his chest twice with a cough then took the barrel filled with water and drank it, all of a sudden, lightning streaked the sky follows a loud sound of thunder. Jared stopped drinking having finally felt a present of another being with him inside the pub so he dropped the barrel on the table as he looked straight at the person— a dark spiky hair and a inky eyes staring back into his eyes grinning; wearing a singlet with a flared tiffany trouser while sitting on his hams on the table barefooted right where Jared was seated just as the sudden flashes of lightning illuminated the prodigy scene yet again following a thunderous clap then the young man slowly glowed in white brightening up the pub.
"Oh, come on!" Someone said at the door way.
"Don't tell us… you're negotiating with your opponent to give in without a fight. Huh table for two?!" Another said.
"It's not even a matter of who or what I'm fighting against, it's how I'm fighting against it that matters. Well, I haven't started my transaction yet. Look at him I can see his cheekbone and jawline clearly. " He said while he still stared into Jared's smoky eyes. "What took you guys so long?"
"We were waiting for some guy to finish reloading his arsenal." The one with the brown dreadlocks packed upward revealed.
"tsk. Why won't I, I brought a small guitar this time around and I'm not like Aje always serious and ready for anything." The one with the multi-colored worn on his head responded as his red lips curled with disgust.
"Okay. Here it is. With this wonderful help of mine, would you give in or fight your way out of here, Lord Jared Airbrock the Divine Humane." He proposed just as another sound of thunder was heard then lightning reflecting into the pub through the large windows.
The western part of the city, flittering of glowing crystals attached to the bodies of the shops and houses there, shimmering the surroundings of the muddy path way known as the only entrance and the only way out of the city of the bounty hunters. With last of the city's bounty hunters moving, few with a piece of formable material holding a blue glimmering crystal by it handle and the others carrying little squared cages filled with old and young beings dressed in rags with some having chains clamped around their necks and ankles leaving as the bounty hunters murmured to each other while walking the muddy path. At least to them this region of the city haven't been wipe out yet not until—
"Oh, great!… " One of the bounty hunters said, raising the straw hat from his head while on his way out of the city with his fat friends, "look to your right. No, look back then to your right. Do you see the bounty collector's henchmen and henchwomen? "
"I see six of them and the two caped Humanes… how unlucky they are, this is the little pay back for invading our peaceful city." One of his fat friend answered almost immediately.
"Oh, I see them too!… " The other beamed while holding a glimmering crystal inside a material by it handle, they saw the bounty collector's henchmen and henchwomen spread across the top buildings surrounding the two red-caped armoured Humanes standing below them. No one know what their facial expressions were cause' their helmets were still on as their red capes sways through the cool wind.
"Huh, I'm feeling a little bit sad for them, hey, ain't you a Humane just like them?!" one of his fat friend interrogated.
"Yes… so, should I yell—I'm a Humane like you folks; here to save you guys from the notorious undefeated bounty collector's henchmen and henchwomen... Is like you don't know I'm courting death." He steady the straw hat on his head.
"Geez. You don't need to spell it all out like that. Quick let's go back inside, hide and see how the battle ends." One suggested.
"That's sound utterly suicidal but anyways what can we lose?" the one with the glimmering crystal spoke after.
They all looked at each other faces for a moment but the desire to see what would happened next stuck to their minds like a magnet rigidly attracting it's opposite side then they all snickered and rushed to a shady corner of a building while peeping at them from afar.
Just as one looked, moving the glimmering crystal around checking for someone.
"I don't see him anywhere."
"Huh? The bounty collector?"
"No. A legendary being who never comes out from the bounty collector's domain—More bigger and muscular than any other beings I know."
"And who ever told you that the being was real?"
"I know, have seen him once,"
"lair—"
"Shh. Just shut both your trap and watch the fight. And keep that glowing crystal away from my face, you can throw it away or put it inside your big cloth of yours I don't care."
"O… okay."
The one with the glimmering crystal gave the other fat one. He collected it then blinked for the reason why he gave it to him then he grumbled while putting the glimmering inside his clothes as they all stayed silent and watched, unknowingly behind them a shadowy figure holding a hammer upon the shoulder with shades of undulating red hair seen as the glowing crystal on their hands dimmed inside the one of the fat friend's clothes under the suffocating dark sky with little stars above. Before long a shout was heard at the corner then every houses far and near.
Two of the bounty collector's henchmen and women looked at the directions of the screams.
"The bounty collector is killing anyone who hasn't leave the city yet, what a gruesome thing to encounter after the warning, they're unlucky anyways." The fair skin middle-aged lady said as the cool wind blew revealing a marked 'O' on her right side of her waist.
"Well it's already over for them. We warned them to leave before this happened—but. Look over there at those three stony giants, probably the skill of a Divine Humane." Said the hairy middle-aged man with a bearded Norse skipper, glowing in gold as he pulls his muffler scarf up to his mouth area.
"Yawn… isn't it too much against this beings. Six against two of the weakest Humanes here." The one holding a shimmering sword and a decanter filled with soaked egg and a glowing honey pitied while laying on the floor not far from where they stood staring at the two royal guard in red cape backing each other while focusing on the six beings surrounding them.
He was probably stopped by the bounty collector not to fight so he decided to lay on the ground few feet away from them.
"As the Bounty collector ordered. We're not killing them, yet. Just stand guard until we kill every last one of the stronger Humanes then use these two as his lastest edition collections. What do you think, Big sister?" The lady with her face concealed behind a white yashmak spoke staring at the fair skinned lady near her.
"Well… let's see how it turns out although I don't think those two wouldn't stay for that long." She responded pointing at the two beings breathing hard in the shadows with the redness in their eyes.
" Is our turn, isn't it? Let's see who they call useless." One of the red caped royal guards told his second.
Then they both nodded.
"There's no sacrifice being great and small. It's our duty to safe guard the Divine Humanes back to the kingdom and with that said we will have no choice but to break every opposition of the Humane Kingdom."
Suddenly both of them did some choreography, raising there arms up and jerking their legs as the Bounty collector's henchmen and women observed then the two red caped royal guards bump fist each other with that sudden act one of their cape suddenly swallowed up the other whole in a creepy way then it merged together into one being like a red twisting ball of ribbon yet moving with a thin crackled and a sizzled sound heard beneath.
It was strange however the bounty collector's henchmen and henchwomen eyes slightly opened upon the being's appearance.
"I can't believe my eyes… " The fair skin middle-aged lady slightly gasped.
A hot noxious mixture of particles and gases burst out from the being's twisting yet moving red ball of ribbon on the point of spreading throughout the area reducing visibility for the bounty collector's henchmen and henchwomen.
The fair skinned lady looked at everyone, it seems no one was alerted by the scenery beclouding them then she raised her arms sideways after, smashed both palms together creating a spherically container made from water englobing everyone's face including the two shadowy figures glowing red in their eyes.
"Huh? What the hell is this?" The one holding a shimmering sword questioned while laying on the floor as he poked the moving water surrounding his face.
"That just saved your life. Even Frankenstein's medicines won't safe you when inhaling the murky atmosphere around you." Said the hairy middle-aged man as he stood still without no expression shown in his eyes.
"Huh?" The lady with her face concealed behind a white yashmak stared at the fair skinned lady slightly confused about the situation at hand.
"My souse bags will protect you from the smoke." She claimed. "Have seen and heard stories like this one. something to do with a being having the power to swallow up another being to become whole and wild."
"Is it one of the potency of a Humane, big sister?"
"No. It is the work of the armour." She responded.
"Armour? You mean an armour have the ability to do this?" The one holding a shimmering sword asked while still poking what was around his face.
What is this made up, wax? He thought.
"Yeah, just like Aje's armour, an infamous armour to be well-defined. Supposing Hameed was here he won't miss any opportunity to study more about it."
"Huh? Who is Hameed? Oh, the bald dark skinned man, thought his name was... Now what should we do. I can't possibly see anything in this foggy atmosphere." He continued while still laying on the ground. "Should we fight it or wait for the bounty collectors' orders?"
"Don't worry I have a plan. Doing nothing won't stop it from attacking us anyway." She snap her fingers. Then the two shadowy figures from the shades flew out right into the foggy field where the red-caped royal guards were positioned in an instant the foggy atmosphere disappeared into thin air. Revealing the two figure standing, their face still englobed in water. Having a grey fur that wavered on their body like a primate with tail seen facing a huge black armoured figure, slightly glowing in red like veins growing all over it body as ashes flow out from it.
Without warning it zoomed punching the two primate straight in the face bursting the moving water right from their face as their body where thoroughly smashed into the ground.
"Hey tell me how is an infamous armour from the Inhumane in the arms of a low Humane like you? if you could still hear the sane words coming out from my mouth." The one holding a shimmering sword questioned still laying on the ground.
"This is… the armour that was past down to me… from generation to… generation." The being spoke in a strident tone as he rose his upper body up in clinks. "You… broads there, make your first move and do tell… who is more useless."
"Who are you, calling us broads?" Asked the lady with her face concealed behind a white yashmak.
"I… No… We are."
"… And who are you?" the hairy middle-aged man glowing in gold questioned above.
"We… are… EXTERMINATOR… "
Immediately saying those words he raised his arm blocking a shimmering sword out of no where. The area of the arm where the shimmering sword was placed was glowing red-hot.
The holder noticed it. It was as if he hit a very solid material without penetrating then he spoke.
"I don't care who you're or what you're I will finish you right here, right now..."
"Do… Try."
The being countered as mass of thin tendrils weaved together on his arms to form a knuckleduster with three long claws extending on both hands.
The man eyes slightly widened at the sight of it.
