Violet's POV
I put the file that the PR department had given me on the neatly arranged table in front of me. I sighed. Right now I was nursing a migraine the size of mount Rushmore and it was not an easy task. I went through my schedule for today and I was supposed to be having a meeting with Mr Yong's game company.
"Hey girl"I heard a voice say and I groaned. Noice was the last thing I needed at the moment.
"Can you keep it down"I asked Rose. Rose was my all time best friend. She was always there when I needed her but right now I didn't mainly because she was bound to increase the size of my migraine maybe even to mount Kilimanjaro.
"No,I can't"she told me twirling
"What are you so happy about"I asked now massaging my scalp.
"I got you into a dance academy" and that was all it took for me to forget about my migraine for a minute.
"You did what?"
"I know right, isn't this exciting"
"It's not,why in the world would you do that"I raised my voice. My migraine came back and Rose frowned.
"Aren't you supposed to be happy"she asked
"I'm supposed to be in a meeting right now not listening to you ramble on about enrolling me into a dance academy. Why in the world did you enroll me. Why didn't you ask before making choices about my life"I poured out all the pent up frustration and fatigue in her.
"What's wrong"I smiled. No matter how much I yelled at her she always seemed to stay every single time.
"Nothing,I'm just tired, fustrated and I'm dealing with a migraine"I said with a sigh
"How about you go for your meeting and when you come back I'll massage your head"Rose suggested
I laughed and instantly regretted it
"No need for that"I told her "But we'll talk about the dance academy stuff when I come back"
"Okay, I'll be waiting"
♣♣♣♣
"So why'd you do it"I asked as Rose munched on her popcorn. She offered me some but I politely declined.
"I felt you were too engrossed in your work, you hardly have time for yourself and it made me think about what I could do to change that. I remembered you like to dance and I thought to myself 'what a great idea to get you enrolled into a dance academy' so I did and here we are" she said with an innocent smile
"Well whether it's a great idea or not I'm not going for the classes. I have a company to run"I told her
"The classes are not going to clash with your schedule"she informed me
"My answer is still No Rose"I told her with finality evident in my voice.
"And you say you're a good friend"
"You're not going to blackmail me into doing what you want so I'd advise you to leave so you won't waste anymore if my time"I returned to the documents in front of me. I needed to bag this deal with Mr Yong and our first meeting was up to a great start but if I didn't think of an idea that would intrigue him then it was best I forgot about the deal. To think about that idea I needed to know more about his company and I couldn't do that if Rose countined to bug me the whole day.
"Look, I'll think about it and get back to you but don't count on it"I told her and she smiled
"I'll be waiting for your yes"she told me and left.
I sighed. Sometimes Rose could be a pain in my neck.
