Arriving at their residence, it seems his father is not yet home so he hurriedly went to their courtyard.
Then, he noticed that it was moved away so he ask one of their attendant who said that his father moved it to their storage room.
He went there and retrieve the bear's remains, took it outside and returned tothe courtyard. Then, he began to removing the bear's pelt, then take out the internal organs.
From within, he can see the beast core shimmering a scarlet radiance. Te quickly took it and sensed the concentration of mystic energy inside.
Sure enough, this was a Level 15 Hazard-class beast core based on the concentration of mystic energy.
With this level of beast core, it will surely aid him in cultivating faster as well as with the meat of this beast filled with Qi.
Removing each part meticulously, he separated the pelts, meat, organs, claws, teeth and brain. It took him quite some time and the sun fully set while a full moon can be seen among the group of stars.
While he was processing the meat, he discovered a silvery blue glimmer from the set of teeth he took out. The radiance showed only when moonlight shined down to it but quickly disappeared as soon as the moon was partly covered by the clouds.
Intrigued, Lex took this particular canine tooth from the pile of teeth and observe it more closely. Its shape resembles like a crescent moon.
Unlike the other teeth, it is slightly warm to the touch. When moonlight shines on it, it also gives off a radiance.
He tried injecting mystic enerygy on it and discovered a warm flow coursing through his body, feeling an increase in his strength. This beast fang clearly has more useful application aside from just giving off a little light.
Since it came from a Grizzly Lunar Bear, he called it Lunar Fang. He placed it in a small pouch and hang it on his neck, he decided to test it again tomorrow to discover its usage.
Not all mystic beasts have mutated parts. Clearly, the bear is a mutated one and may be much stronger under the moon than the other of its kind. Luckily when he hunted the, it was already early morning,
He finished all the works just in time for dinner and decided to just grill the bear's meat. He lightly seasoned it and started cooking.
Soon, fragrance filled the air. He started drolling over the food but still wait for it to completely cook.
A few minutes later, muching sound can be heard in the courtyard. He ravenously ate the bear's meat like there's no tomorrow. A level 15 meat is a rare delectable for lower ranks.
Unknowingly, he finished a quarter of the bear's meat. Just as he finished eating, he discovered frantic beast Qi from his meal starting to fill his body.
The amount of beast Qi from a Level 15 meat is very potent, coursing through his meridians vigorously.
He hastily sat cross-legged and began operating his meditation exercise to process this energy or else, when it came to the point of his meridian no longer able to bear the frantic Qi, it may explode and lose his cultivation.
Breathing through his nose, exhaling through his mouth, soon, rythmic breathings are the only sound in the courtyard. He's fully immersed in the process of making the Qi a part of him, washing his body and tempering it like a forge would.
His Martial Heart is constantly subjected to strong pressure and beating out vigorous Qi within his body to counter the frantic beast energy.
Unknowingly, three hours passed when he finished managing the beast Qi. There are still a portion of unprocessed Qi within him but he can manage it and let it be. It will aid in tempering his meridians through the battering of this Qi.
He stand up from his position to check his condition. Grime and sweat filled him and unpleasant odor can be smelled due to the oozed out impurities within him.
He can also feel that is Martial Heart got stronger, just a little bit away from breaking through again to the next rank.
Lex proceeded to clean himself of the impurities and quickly took a bath. After getting changed, he walks out of the living room and found his father arriving late.
He filially greeted him and ask the attendant to prepare food for his father.
"Welcome back, Father. I noticed that you've been coming home late these past few days. Is there a problem in the village Father?" Lex respectfully asked.
His father, Nyshof, is the current Village Chief, holding the position of highedt authority in here. He manages, implements and keep the order in the village along with the Elders.
It was only natural for Lex to worry since they are having a meeting and finishing late these days. Additionally, today's lesson talks about in depth lessons regarding mystic beasts.
Lex's Father, Nyshof, tiredly answered, "Let's talk in my study room." Then, they proceeded into the house.
Sitting at the chair by the table, Nyshof said, "Yes, you should be aware of the recent developments. The mystic beasts are growing in numbers and we are worried it might cause a beast tide."
'Sigh' "We already allocated additional tasks and counter measures such as the crash course on mystic beasts. Others should have been informed already. Tomorrow, we plan to send out an expedition team to clear out some mystic beasts in our village's vicinity," Nyshof further explained.
"Father, I want to join the expedition, too," Lex replied.
"Alright. We plan to mobilize you kids to help you in your training. I hope you will do well. Sleep early. Tomorrow will be a long day," instructed Nyshof.
"Yes. Father." Lex said and exited the room.
He went to his own bedroom and started illuviating as one of his nightly routine. He gathered the mystic energy in the air and compressed it within his Arcane Rune.
This in turn can be converted into elements when he is casting spell. That is the basis of Invoker's power since elements originates from mystic energy.
He cannot slack off just because he is a dual path cultivator. On the contrary, he must spend more time than others since he needs double the mystic energy illuviated to fill both his Martial Heart and Arcane Rune.
He spends about an hour illuviating before calling it a day. He lie down on the bed and drift to his dreamland. Then, through the window, moonlight spilled in his room as the Lunar fang tied around his neck started shining and making wonders he hasn't yet discovered.
