"Hmm, you have a point. I really shouldn't push my luck with the other gods further than I already have." Tyros began to think about what to do and removing the head of an Emperor who was sworn to Kothrishard the Goddess of Light would definitely anger her.
"Well, I guess it's your lucky day human! You get to live today." Tyros directed his gaze towards Alexandros. "I really can push the gods more than I already have. But should this child be harmed by you without having the chance to live because of your stupidity and fear of other kingdoms interfering with him because he poses a threat because of me, you will die; gods be damned."
"Aww... I was hoping to see what his blood tasted like," Demecratos lamented. "Oh well, I won't argue with your decision brother. But we really should stop our cousins from wreaking more havoc if we are to stop the gods from caring about our presence."
Demecratos lifted his wings and crouched his monstrous legs down, prepping himself to launch himself from the ground that was cracking under himself and his sister's bodies. As he sprang his legs down to push himself, up while flapping his massive wings down to lift himself up, the ground gave way, and four massive craters where his feet were smashed into the earth.
As his wings came down the dust and dirt that was released from the cracked ground was whipped into the air following behind him as he launched into the sky. "I will go calm our kin down so we don't anger the gods too much, we still live here too." As Demecratos launched into the sky, his massive body blocked all light coming from the sun as he traveled towards the openings of all of the portals that were still open.
The portals were still open, even though all of the dragons had exited the universe of chaos. They were held open by Septimus as the universe of chaos was being dismantled because it had served its purpose, and the remaining pure mana within that universe was being poured into the other universes, not just the universe with humans dwelling in it.
Septimus had sent all the dragons back to their original domain but was also emptying the mana into the vast universes under his control to replenish their resources. He wanted to offer some fun outliers to their observations into the universes to liven up his entertainment.
Increasing pure mana in any environment was seen as a windfall for any creature. Being able to utilize pure mana allowed them to increase their cultivation speed and strengthen them by leaps and bounds.
Pure mana can be used to transmute any other form of mana, but other mana cannot be transmuted into pure mana. That's because pure mana held traces of divinity in it. Divinity is what allowed it to be a source of pure power. It could amplify anything and everything it was absorbed by.
However, once pure mana was transmuted into another power, like light mana for holy magic, it would lose its divinity. It was the secret Septimus instilled into pure mana, that in order to attain divine levels of strength and reach the levels of demi-gods as Tyros had, pure mana was the only way into that realm of cultivation.
Pure mana had almost no utility that creatures found useful other than the potency in which it could transmute stronger concentrated elemental mana. But once a creature was at the peak of its power, it would be stuck at the bottleneck of being unable to achieve demi-god status.
This was because the beings who specialized in elemental magic and used transmuted mana to achieve their strength would be blind to the needs that further cultivation of their strengths required.
Tyros was only one of a hand full of beings who were able to achieve the level of demi-god because he had lived for hundreds of thousands of years and had enough time to absorb enough pure mana to break his bottlenecks.
It was only after he achieved his demi-god status that he achieved his goal of uniting the dragons under him, and became the dragon king. It was only after another 10000 years that he had hit the peak of demi-gods that he had fully understood divinity.
It was at that time that he had also been able to sense the powers that the minor gods and goddesses held, through the connection of divine power amongst them. This was when he had come into contact with Tiflos, the Goddess of Fire.
Eventually, Tyros was shocked to be able to come into contact with the Goddess of Fire because at that time, he had no idea the powers gods held; and within their primordial realms where all transmuted mana derived from, existed other forms of power he now sought after.
This was the event 3000 years ago that lead Tyros to steal the genesis flame from Tiflos, and caused the downfall of the dragons and their exile from the annals of history.
Tyros was then granted his pseudo-god-hood from Septimus when he turned Tyros into an immortal spiritual being. Though Tyros held the same levels of power as the other known gods, he couldn't influence the universes as they could, hence he had become a pseudo-god.
As Demecratos flew away with terrifying speed, disturbing mana fluctuations began to permeate the areas, as Demecratos released his aura as he moved, signaling his arrival in a different area. His unique bloodlust aura when released cause significant fear and confusion effects on creatures.
"Must he be so quick to act? He's too impulsive for his age." Persephone just sighed at the fact that her second brother was so impulsive. "At least it's for something productive to our situation."
Persephone turned her head back towards Tyros, "will you be fine on your own? I feel our presence here is a little unwelcomed by these humans, and it may cause issues for that child there." Persephone directed her gaze towards Runaan who was still unconscious by the early stimulation of bloodline connections with a kindred spirit.
"I will be fine, so will this child. This here emperor will be the one to care for the child. He will be met with dangerous consequences should he fail to do that." Tyros raised Alexandros up in the air so he could meet his eyes.
"I will atone for my wrongdoings..." Alexandros lowered his head in front of Tyros' only to end up looking down towards Persephone thinking to himself, 'at least this dragon doesn't hold animosity towards this kingdom or my people.'
"Oh I wouldn't count my chickens before they hatch human, I only leave you be because my brother hasn't said to destroy you or this kingdom yet. We can be quite spiteful when family is concerned." A sly smile formed across Persephone's maw.
"H-how did you know wh-" Persephone cut off Alexandros before he could finish his question.
"Yes, I know what your thoughts are, don't even bother lying to us, I can see through your true intentions, even when the idea that lying wasn't going to help you earlier was quite true, only telling the truth can set you free. But in this case, you don't really need to say it, I already know what the truth is. So does my brother, how do you think he knew your name?"
Persephone looked playfully back towards Tyros before saying her goodbyes to him. "I will continue after Demecratos in stopping the others from enraging the gods. I really don't want to go back to that damned chaos."
"Do as you want, I won't stop you. On the other hand," Tyros lifter his foot again and tore open another spatial tear leading back into the palace, "we are going to make sure you take care of this child of mine." Tyros then threw Alexandros through the tear and into his palace's great hall.
"Can you stop throwing me at least, I already resigned myself to taking care of Runaan for life, he will be treated as no less than my own child!" Alexandros tried to retort his discomfort towards Tyros, "I already can't move easily from your earlier outburst in the catacombs!"
"Silence imbecile! Your lucky to not even be dead right now!" Tyros' was starting to get angry again, but he needed to hold himself back from altering history too much. He felt wiping out a kingdom serving the goddess Kothrishard would only serve to remove the dragons again.
"You will care for Runaan, and he will lead just as normal life as any other human child. He will grow but he will only grow to his own capabilities. But I am to remind you, he has my blood running through his veins, and he will reign supreme someday, that is something you cannot avoid." Tyros stated nonchalantly, as to his prediction of the future.
Tyros then moved again to levitate Runaan through the spatial tear and calmly set him down before Alexandros. As he set him down, he glared another stern warning towards Alexandros, releasing condensed killing intent, suffocating Alexandros momentarily. "I will see you again in due time."
As Tyros said his last statement, while suffocating Alexandros, he turned himself into flowing lights, entering Runaan's body. Tyros bound himself to Runaan's soul so that he would be able to protect Runaan in dire times, but also to bolster his development as a cultivating mage.
After entering into Runaan's soul, and the spatial tear closing behind him as he entered Runaan through the tear, Alexandros regained his composure coughing up blood, as he's been severely damaged in the few events that seemed to last forever, only to have a few minutes elapse.
"Urrggghhh, what have I done to receive such bad fortune? Could I have done anything different, other than not trying to remove Runaan as a potential future threat? I've been such a fool." Alexandros began to lament his life's course and all of his past actions as Emperor.
Alexandros then began to look up and around for someone to come and help him and his newly adopted child. There was no one in immediate view in the great hall, only for him to hear the great hall's doors slowly opening as guards started to rush in.
"SIRE!!!"
"SIR!"
"MY LIEGE"
As the guards rushed in, they could only see the Emperor hunched over kneeling on the floor near an unconscious child with blood on the floor and dripping down his chin. "Find me a healer *cough*, and bring this child to *cough* an empty bed chambers."
"YES SIRE"
"AS YOU WISH"
"ARE YOU OKAY MY LIEGE?!?!"
As the guards heard their orders, though they had many new questions blaring in their heads, they were to follow their Emperor's orders first before all else. They felt relieved that the Emperor was okay despite the clear damage he had sustained.
They knew he wouldn't be fatally wounded if he had been worried about this child. They were curious nonetheless as to why he had been so damaged, it had to be due to the dangerous aura they felt right before they heard the thunderous boom sound from inside the great hall they were guarding.
Regardless of the circumstances, the first guard who entered the room ran towards the cathedral where he knew Head Priest Gomo was supposed to be only to find he had been missing, and after asking around for a little, he found out he had been in the catacombs for some reason.
The second guard had carefully lifted Runaan's body up and brought him to one of the empty bed chambers as he had been ordered to do. "Who is this kid? Why was he with the Emperor? Why was the Emperor so injured?" The guard just started saying his questions out loud without meaning to.
The last guard who entered the hall tried to care for the Emperor as best he could. He supported Alexandros up to his feet in an attempt to move him out of the great hall and towards the royal chambers.
'Well, looks like I have a new child to care for... I'm going to have to change some things around here, aren't I... How troublesome.' Alexandros lamented to himself internally.
