Sean lit a cigar and puffed on it as he poured himself a glass of bourbon.
"Damn dude. That's harsh. Not only did the bitch leave you but she left you for a billionaire. And gave you 12 stitches. And you can't even say you took all her money at least. She don't even need it now!" His friend Josh said, laughing.
He wanted to punch him in the throat but he was right. There she was, right there, on every gossip celebrity website and social media platform. In a tight black dress. On HIS arm. He shuddered and choked back the bile rising in his throat. She was still his wife. His wife, whoring around like a paid hooker. A gold digging whore. Making a mockery of him.
"Just sign the papers and crawl into a hole for the next few years, bro. Best advice I can give you." Josh said, laughing. Sean threw his phone and hit him in the forehead, making a loud cracking sound.
"Hey man! What the fuck!?" Josh yelled in pain.
Sean said nothing. But he knew that the only one crawling into a hole would be that conniving, cheating cunt. A hole to bury her in.

"Good morning, bella ragazza." Ezra said, kissing her forehead, greeting her as she walked into the kitchen. "I've never made these before but I told the cook she could leave and that I had it under control. Total lie but what the hell… right?" He smiled as he proudly placed two burnt pancakes on a plate for her. She smiled and thanked him. He was different. Lighter. Happier. Like a dark cloud had lifted from his eyes. He was practically dancing around the kitchen. It made her heart swell with a happiness she had never felt before.
She slathered butter and syrup over the black hotcakes and ate every bite. "Delicious." She lied.
"I'll make you a few more?" He asked sincerely.
"Oh no. No thank you. Still full from last night." She said, wiping her mouth.
"Well, good. We go home to Arizona today. And I can't wait to just relax and be with you for a few days." He smiled. "Also, do you have plans at the end of next month?" It was December. Christmas.
She sighed. "No. I don't actually. I don't have any family. I…"
"Then it's settled. We are going to Colorado. Aspen."
"Aspen?" She asked.
"Yes. I have a home there. A big one." He said. She laughed, looking around.
"What?" He asked. His bare chest heaved. He was so perfectly made, she thought to herself. Every muscle, every inch of his olive skin. His strikingly clear eyes. His perfectly full lips.
"Hello, earth to bella." He said, interrupting her admiration.
"It's nothing. It sounds like fun." She said.
"Do your ski?" He asked.
"No! Hahaha. No. But I bet it will be fun to watch me bust my ass, though." She laughed.
He walked over to her, pulling her into his arms. "I will teach you. I want to show you so much." He said. "God! Dio! I feel like my life has just begun!" He exclaimed. She kissed him and smiled.
"Me too." She said.
They packed up and got into the car waiting at the street.
"By the way, what you said, how you handled yourself at the restaurant. It made my loins quiver."
Ezra whispered. "I was never prouder of my choices."
She laughed. "Well get used to it. I don't eat shit politely."
"I wouldn't expect you to, ever." He said, putting his arm around her and kissing her cheek.
