"Yes. Thank you. Please let us know when you find anything out." Ezra said before hanging up his phone.
"He is one of the best PI's around, I can assure you of that. He will find her. He believes she would have headed along the coast. He has contacts along the way and is checking them. She could be as far as Canada by now." Ezra said.
It was late and they were still at his home, trying to exhaust whatever resources they could together. Gabe had called and checked in town and no one had seen her yet.
"We should stick together. I will pack a bag and go back to town with you both." Ezra said. Paula nodded as he left them to wait.
"We need to find this Sean. If we know where he is, at least we know she's safe. We need to find him and follow the piece of shit." Gabe said. Paula nodded.
"I agree." She said. Ezra came back into the room with a small duffel bag.
"She is in Utah. At some racing thing." Ezra said, scoffing. "The PI ran facial recognition software and found her in some photo with a driver there only a few hours ago. I have called in my private plane. It should be here soon." Ezra said.
"We need to go back to town and find the bastard looking for her. If we know where he is, we also will know where he isn't, which is close to her." Paula said. Gabe nodded.
Ezra took a moment to think about it. He was anxious to find her, to see her. To hold her in his arms and make sure she never felt she had to run again. He wanted to make her feel safe.
"Yes. I agree. You go back and look for him. I am going to her and making sure she is taken care of. When you find him, keep him around." Ezra felt the rage growing inside of him. "I'd like to have my own personal time with the monster when I return." He said, getting his teeth and clenching his jaw.
Gabe hesitated. He didn't like Ezra calling the shots but he did want to make sure both of them were found.
"Okay. But when you have her, please let us know that she is safe. We will keep you posted as well." Paula said, looking over at Gabe, hoping for an agreeing nod.
"Yeah, do that." Gabe said as he got up and headed to the car outside.
"Thank you, Ezra. She is a very special woman. Take care of her." Paula said. "And tell her I love her."
"I will do both." Ezra said, walking her to the car where Gabe was already waiting in the driver's seat. He tapped the top of the car after helping Paula in and watched as they drove off. Andrew pulled up and took his bag as he prepared to drive Ezra to the plane en route for Utah.
