Chapter 66 - Family dinner

Lu yao yin was peacefully enjoying her Friday and thanking God that it was a Friday cause she could sleep like a log all through the night and still wake up with nothing on her schedule to do but then a certain someone had popped out from no where

"where are you taking me?" Lu yao yin asked aggrieved as she mourned her slumber day that had been annihilated by the man seated next to her and driving blissfully

"the salon" Zi yichen answered cheerfully

"the salon? when did I say I wanted to go to the salon?"

She was puzzled cause she least expected that he would be taking her to the salon, she should be at home sleeping not going to the salon! so why was he taking her to the salon?! she really wasn't interested in going to the salon!

"actually the salon isn't were we're going, we're just making a stop at the salon before we head to where we are going"

"where are we going?"

"you'll see" He replied with a mischievous smile then continued driving

Few minutes later they arrived at a very popular salon, this salon was popular cause it was known to attend to only high class socialists and even still reservation would have had to be made months before you could finally get an appointment.

"welcome Mr Zi"

when they walked in He was greeted by one the ladies working as the receptionist, Her smile was pleasant and she clearly demonstrated the perfect qualities of a receptionist unlike her second attendant whose face was filled with fascination and profound fawning for Zi yichen

"How may we help you sir? do you want to see one of our stylists? we can help you book a reservation if you don't have one" the other said in a very gentle and seductive voice trying to steal Zi yichen attention to herself

it didn't seem like Zi yichen had seen or even heard her cause he was still focused on Lu yao yin who was pressing away on her phone angrily, it looked like she was taking out her frustration on the poor phone

"Is miss Lucy in?" He asked

"sir_" the girl had started to give a reply but then she was cut off by the other girl.

"miss Lucy is not around she just stepped out, besides you can't see her without a reservation and miss Lucy already has a reservation for this week so come back next week" she was angry that the handsome rich gigolo had ignored her for the girl standing next to him so her initial gentle tone turned to that of arrogance.

She didn't recognize who Zi yichen was so she had mistaken him as just one of those handsome rich gigolos, while Lu yao yin didn't look like any rich heiress in her turtled neck long sleeved sweatshirt and matching joggers. There was a thick black sunshade obstructing Lu yao yin's face so the lady couldn't tell she was the one that was why she had mistaken both of their identities.

If she had known who they were from the very beginning she wouldn't have dared be arrogant infront of them.

"leili!" the first girl exclaimed her name, she was shocked with the girl's sudden change of attitude

"what I just told them the truth, miss Lucy already has a reservation so they can't see her or do they expect us to cancel the other reservation and then patch them up with miss Lucy. we definitely can't do that so they have to go back home and return back next week" Leili wasn't all wrong with what she said but because she wanted to cause trouble for the two people she had omitted their regulations that said if a customer wanted to see a stylists that already had a reservation then the receptionist should 'kindly' recommend a different stylists then the customer can choose to wait or come back for his or her own preferred stylists.

although the two people seemed totally less concerned about the girls attitude, the other receptionist till felt like she should give the girl a Stern warning, she opened her mouth but was interrupted by a voice

"is that how you talk to a customer?" the voice sounded plain but firm, the receptionist cowered when she heard the ladies voice

"Madam Lucy_" she started but was caught off

"how long have you worked in this salon?" The thin lady walked magnificently to the counter and asked the girl called Leili

"si_si_six...six years" the lady stuttered fearfully, miss Lucy was not only their Head stylist but also the owner of the salon so it was natural that she was afraid of the woman

"tsk tsk" She sighed "it's such a long time for an unbefitting person like you"

"from today hence forth you cease to work in this place,"

"ma please don't fire me, I promise it was only this once...I...I've really been good to customers" leili pleaded and begged hoping the lady could change her mind but the woman was firm on her decision.

She walked forward to the leili girl and said in a hushed voice "do you even know who you were offending?" she asked then continued "if you don't know then let me tell you, those two standing there are Zi yichen and Lu yao yin"

the little girls eyes flung open in fright when she learned the identity of the two people she was flaunting her arrogance to, Her head fell dejected and she was suddenly happy that miss Lucy had arrived on time or else she might have said a lot of things she shouldn't have.

She quietly stood and left the salon before this two goons suddenly have thoughts of their own to punish her.

"Mr Zi sorry for the inconveniences" Miss Lucy said after the girl had gone.

"It's okay" Zi yichen replied softly

"miss Lu yao yin nice to finally meet you I've heard a lot about you" she also greeted Lu yao yin and very voice was very polite with no trace of being fake

"nice to actually meet you too miss Lucy Chan, I've heard and seen so much about you" Lu yao yin replied her

She had in did heard about Lucy Chan but hadn't gotten the opportunity to meet her, Lucy Chan started her stylist career at her teenage, weirdly enough from a very young age she had a very spectacular fashion sense and people were scrambling to meet her, either to get styled by her or get a fashion advice. Inasmuch as she was a fashion guru she always rocked her pale gold dreads and signature tank top with baggy pant

when Kun feng was little she had come across a picture of Lucy Chan and was fascinated by her, so as a loyal fan she had also dreaded her hair but the end result was her sitting on a wooden chair with a heavy expression while the dreads where loosed one after the other as orders from Kun xiabei.

that sh*t was really painful!

seeing the admiration in Lu yao yin eyes as she talked with Lucy, Zi yichen felt like he got himself another rival.

"let's get down to busy so that I don't waste your time" Lucy Chan said and ushered the two people to her office.

Her office was very huge, it had a waiting area just before the markup room and the dressing room.

Zi yichen was asked to wait in the waiting area while Lu yao yin followed Lucy and some girls into the makeup room.

since Lu yao yin was wearing a turtle necked top she had to change it first because it might ruin her makeup when she tries to take it off later. Her dress was still on its way so they had to wait for a little while longer.

As they waited for the arrival of the dress, a little storm was brewing in the receptionist between a helpless receptionist an a fuming Lui shenhui

"what do you mean miss Lucy is busy and won't be able to attend to me?!" Lui shenhui exclaimed angrily.

"ma'am I'm sorry but miss Lucy is attending to someone else right now but you could choose to wait for her or allow another stylist attend to you" the receptionist politely replied but her polite tone couldn't quench the rising fire

Lui mingrui had used his status to make a reservation with Lucy for Lui shenhui in respect to the Zi family dinner, but now she was being overshadowed by gods no who

How could she let herself be belittled...

"is that how you do things here?! I made a reservation but now you're telling me I can't see the stylist, get me Lucy Chan! I want to know who is more important than me!" She yelled at the receptionist

"I'm sorry ma but I can't do that, I'm sure miss Lucy might still be able to attend to you if you would have the patience to wait for her but if you're in a hurry I could also assign a different stylist to do your work for you, there's no need to throw a tantrum"
