"..." Where was he? He felt like the insides of his body was being pushed around. The human body was not a solid as it is connected together by being pushed into place by force. To be in the state where one has no force acting on them meant...
"I'm falling!!!" Akatsuki opens his eyes as he is greeted to the view of the world! He was maybe about 2 kilometers in height up in the air and is rapidly descending.
"Eh?" A massive animal was flying towards him with its jaws open wide. It was not a bird. Nothing on Earth had an appearance like that. A flying reptilian would that be the words to describe? A dragon the size of a two story building came towards him as Akatsuki is seen as a meal!
"Dammit!" As the dragon got closer and closer Akatsuki spun himself around in the air with his back aimed towards the ground. With the jaw nearing him Akatsuki kicked it away and prepared to retaliate with a vengeance.
"Eat my fists!" He socked the dragon's right cheek with all his might! It was knocked unconscious immediately as Akatsuki grabbed it by the neck and directs his fall towards a lake. With the blue drawing closer Akatsuki braced for impact as he used the body of the knocked-out dragon as a shield.
Splash!
It was a world of blue that filled his eyes as Akatsuki held his breath and looked around.
"!" This time it was not a dragon that greeted him in the bottom of the lake. Three fish like aquatic monsters swim towards him! Not only that but they had fangs made for ripping meat apart! He abandoned the unconscious dragon without hesitation and swam for the surface. The smell of iron and red invaded his nose and vision as the dragon was taken apart by the three monsters of the lake.
"Puah!" Akatsuki hurriedly dragged his drenched body out of the lake. No matter how durable his body is there was no way could he get out unscathed fighting against three monsters in their natural domain.
"Ah this just feels disgusting..." He was referring to the feeling of his clothes sticking to his skin. If he knew he was going to be going sky diving when he accept that invitation he should have prepared a parachute. Not that it would have helped much when that dragon like creature saw him as a meal but it could have at least given him the relief of a safer landing.
"Tch some welcome this is." He was cursing in his head against the person who had summoned him through that invite. But looking around this truly is a fantasy world. He has already encountered two types of unearthly creatures a dragon and giant man eating fishes... This was not the world that he was use to. Until yesterday the boy named Kurogami Akatsuki was just a ordinary high school student living in a peaceful country, Japan. Well ordinary would probably not suit Akatsuki seeing as he is able to knockout a dragon in one punch.
"Heh." This world was just as promised to him as it said on that invitation that it was a fantasy world where Gods and Demon Lords reign and wage games against one another. Gods and Demon Lords he may have not encountered them yet but Akatsuki has seen definite proof.
"Argh this is no time to be all smiles about this situation." Yet he couldn't help himself but to break into a smile. First falling from the sky, followed by a monster attempting to eat him, and finally escaping from a group of monsters, this was perhaps the most fun he has had in ages.
"Ah whatever I'll just make certain of it all when I encounter them." He laughs heartily.
"Uwah...for some reason this guy seems to have an incredible personality. What's the word...?
Arrogant?"
Indeed arrogant as the girl named Inaba who is in hiding watches the boy toss rocks across the Serpent's Lake. Normally wouldn't one toss coins into a sacred body of water and make a wish to the spiritual entity or object that resides there? There no way would the girl with light purple hair would know that in that boy's world they toss coins into a fountain instead...
"Hmm." She was trying to figure out the true character of the boy she has summoned. If this was from a bystander's point of view it's like a stalker targeting its prey from a distance.
"Right they summoned me here but..." "Uh!"The boy's golden eyes peer at the direction of Inaba! She desperately held down her breath while reminding herself that this was just a coincidence that he looked this way. She has not been discovered...maybe. But then why was he walking this way? Cold sweat dashed down Inaba's back as she continues hiding. Has she been discovered? Was it too late to turn tails and run?
Should she confront the boy while she has the chance to make a cool debut?
"Oh yeah." The boy fishes into his black fur collared hoodie's jacket and took out...a flat object? He tapped the object's lit surface and turned his back towards the lake again.
Kacha!
An alien sound reaches her ears.
"Hmm...I wish I could take a picture of that dragon or those fishes." "What is he...?" "Also the person hiding over there feel free to come out." His voice turns cold like ice. Inaba already knew to whom he was referring to as she shivers.
"Ah...who would that be...?" "Don't play dumb now or do I have to be forceful?" Not waiting for an answer the boy rushes towards Inaba with the vicious movements of a beast!
"Uh!" Inaba quickly leaped into the air so as to avoid the attack. "Oh, did you think you can get away?" As quickly as he lands on his feet the boy takes off again chasing after Inaba.
"Why are you chasing Inaba!?" "Why is Inaba running from me then?" Inaba lands on the surface of the lake without sinking as Akatsuki stopped his pursue and directed his eyes on the mirror surface of the lake.
"Oh? White with a rabbit mascot." "Eh?" Looking down at the lake the girl reddens to her ears. Her panties were completely exposed while standing on the lake!
"Pervert!" She quickly obscured the view.
"Idiot move away from there!" From beneath the lake comes up a giant mouth lined with fangs!
Splash!
"Eh?" Dumbfounded Inaba was about to be swallowed whole by a monster fish!
"Tch."Akatsuki comes flying in from the side with a kick that knocked the fish off course. He grabbed Inaba by the hand and tossed her onto shore. At the same time two more monster fish came up from the lake with open mouths. What was up with everything trying to eat him today? Akatsuki grabbed one of the fish by the fangs and used the monster as a bat to slam it against his second attacker!
"It can't be...?" He had won the battle without breaking a sweat.
"So who the hell are you?" Looking slightly irritated from getting drenched again Akatsuki asks in an impatient voice. "I'm Inaba." "I already know that." He didn't ask for a name he wanted to ask what her role is.
"Ah I was the one who summoned you." "Oh maybe I should repay you for that favor that had me go skydiving." "Eh?" "I'll send you flying to experience what I experience how about that?" "Hiii! Don't be so unreasonable Inaba is fragile and delicate!" While panicking Akatsuki turns a blind eye towards her excuses. His life was nearly ended just for accepting that invite. Ah whatever forget it. "So what was the invite about?" "Eh?" "Don't tell me you forgot." Akatsuki sighs and quotes the letter.
"Prodigious child of the other world. Should you accept this invitation by discarding all your connections we shall welcome you into to our little Eden, I humbly beseech for your aid in our dire times." "Ah yes that's very important how could Inaba forgot that!?" Is this girl an airhead? And was Akatsuki supposed to be a summoned hero from another world or something? The idea of being hero just sounds so surreal to Akatsuki who has only been living a hedonistic life in a boring world that was just so ordinary that it wasn't even funny. Not to boast but in his world there was nothing that could ever put his life in jeopardy. He was the strongest problem child of his realm and time in the most absolute sense.
"Help us; our Circle is in need of powerful individuals to participate in War Games." Her voice shows her desperation as she pleads.
"Circle? War Games?" These two terms were so alien to Akatsuki who has lived in a world without magic for his whole life.
"It's better to just show you." Inaba leads the way as Akatsuki follows behind her. Inaba leads the way as Akatsuki follows behind her. They were entering a dense jungle like environment.
"Hey was there any specific reason for you to have summoned me to here?" "Eh?" "Wouldn't it be better to summon me in a more I don't know safer zone?" "...." Akatsuki's eyes glares daggers into Inaba's small back. She felt like needles were prickling onto her bareback. Now that Akatsuki had a chance to look at her attire he has to say that this girl looks quite defenseless. She was definitely not the shameless type but her thin coat that was her only top piece exposed her back for all to see and her hair that was tied into long tails, couldn't she just untie it to hide her back? Was she asking to be assaulted going out like this?
"L-Let's be on our way shall we?" Inaba completely dismissed the question and kept moving.
"Oi!" Somehow the circumstances that will follow up to this look bleak. If Akatsuki was the uncertain type he would probably be worried as he follows after Inaba while at the same time panicking inside his head. But he did not continuously ask himself questions on what will become of him.
The reason to that could just be called foolishness or naive. However, in Akatsuki's case he was merely looking forward to this world's entertainment.
