Chapter Eighty seven
Jacob saw the look on her face and immediately knew what was going through her mind.
"No...No, it's not what you think. You spilled a drink on your jeans and I used paper towels from the bathroom to help dry it" Jacob told her with grin.
McKenna shifted her weight from one leg to another. She took a step back and touched her face as she quickly shut her eyes briefly before opening them. Still she couldn't look Jacob in the face or hold his gaze. If this was how embarrassment felt, McKenna did not love it one bit.
"You are almost blushing, McKenna" Jacob quipped and came closer to her.
"Nope...not blushing…This is just h-how my face looks like" McKenna stance was defensive and she played with her hair.
"But I do owe you an apology. I shouldn't have jumped into conclusion without talking to you first" McKenna cleared her throat and looked him in the eyes.
