CHAPTER SEVENTY-SEVEN
McKenna stepped down from the cab and made her into the restaurant. She was over Forty minutes late and she was in a hurry to meet her date. Who knew explaining to her best friend about what transpired earlier that day and finding a suitable dress for a high end restaurant was time consuming?
She would have preferred the comfort of her room and the solitude of being alone but she made a promise to eat with Jacob and it was a promise she plans to keep. All she needed to do was smile from time to time and remember to keep her eyes open.
The restaurant was beautiful and even in McKenna's tired state she stopped for a minute to stare and take in the magnificent surrounding.
