CHAPTER SEVENTY-TWO
Naya, Veronica and Chike stood by the entrance to the main building. Chike and Naya chatted about nothing in particular but the conversation topics ranged from the weather to the fact that everyone seemed to be holding their breath. Even Veronica was a wee bit nervous herself.
After Jason announced to everyone that Elixir was gracing the orphanage with her presence, everyone went in to overdrive. Veronica ordered the children to be on their best behavior and best outfits. Mayhem and disorder was absolutely prohibited. Even Nolani understood the importance of being on her best behavior.
"I don't understand why everyone is so nervous about Ms Elixir's impromptu visit" Chike said amusingly when he noticed that Naya was edgy too.
