CHAPTER SIXTY-FIVE
Naya Walked slowly as she made her way to the main building. She didn't think it was possible to dig a deeper hole to put herself than she was in this morning.
She stopped midway and closed her eyes momentarily. She inhaled air and held the air in her lungs for five seconds before exhaling through her mouth.
She longed for the courage that came with a glass of cold brandy, maybe two glasses if she was being honest with herself. There was nothing like two glasses of liquid courage to get her through what she knows was going to be the worst night of her life in three years.
She picked up the pace and walked just a little bit faster. The sound her footwear made was the only thing keeping her from breaking into a run.
