Chapter two hundred and twenty three
Jason smiled.
"We should pick a date!" Jason told her
"Date for what?"
"Our wedding, silly" Jason said and she hit him playfully.
"How about December 31st? so we can start our lives as real couples next year and leave everything behind. Maybe even forget about getting a divorce in two years, what do you say?" Jason asked her feeling uncertain
"It sounds awesome!" McKenna answered.
"You should invite your family" Jason suggested. It might be time to mend bridges with McKenna's grandmother.
"I will ask my grandmother to come but that would mean we need to prepare for our traditional marriage too. You have to pay my bride price too." she said.
McKenna waited for him to answer. She hoped that now he won't run away from his feelings anymore.
"Of course I will have to pay your bride price...even though I think it's barbaric, Oma. Are you okay?"
