Chapter two hundred and ten
McKenna was overjoyed over the prospect of starting work next week. She even agreed to be nice to Jason.
She went inside the room to change into a pair of Jeans and t-shirt. She has been in a happy mood ever since she had a conference call with her Canadian friends, Jada, Amy, Aera and Luca. They were surprised to hear that she was married and they wanted an invitation to attend her white wedding. McKenna knew Luca would see through her and see her marriage was a sham.
Jason was reading a paper when she walked past him to pick up her phone.
"I need to go to the supermarket. Later"
"Take one of the cars, McKenna" Jason saw that she was about to argue with him and he quickly added "please. It's too early to see a cab or I could come with you if you wanted"
"I will take the car"
