McKenna stared at the sun. The sun light blinded her but she didn't remove her face. Instead she closed her eyes and took a breath of fresh air. It was invigorating.
Her phone beeped and she looked at it. It was a text message from Jason.
I HAVE A CONFERENCE IN ANOTHER STATE. I WILL BE BACK IN A WEEK.
"You said the same thing, two weeks ago" McKenna said out loud and dropped the phone.
After Jason told her that he cared about her. He conveniently had a meeting in another state that took him away for two weeks. He told her he will be back tomorrow but now, McKenna guesses he was extending the vacation. Coward!
She was bored out of her mind. Jason made sure no one hired her and Elena was too busy with work to hang out since she got her old job at Jascorp and she was walking her way up to manager.
McKenna closed her eyes again but her phone rang and she picked up.
"Good morning, ma"
It was her mother in law, Elixir Yagazie.
