Chapter two hundred
McKenna knelt down beside Miranda and examine her. She had sustained a lot of bruise on her face and neck. They needed to take her to a hospital.
"We should take her to the hospital" McKenna suggested to them.
"No, we can't" Queenie answered and wiped her mother's face with a wet towel.
"Why can't we?" McKenna asked puzzled. The woman seemed to be in a lot of pain.
"You have only been a part of this family for a few days, you will get to know the family rules soon enough" Queenie said and took the towel to the kitchen.
"I called the family doctor. She will be taken care of. I promise" Jason told McKenna.
"I hope you get better soon" McKenna said to Miranda who was trying to sit up.
"I will. So you are Jayden's wife. He didn't tell me he was getting married" Miranda said looking at McKenna.
McKenna watched her husband's biological mother closely. She was a fragile woman but very beautiful.
