Chapter hundred and ninety eight
Jason took his car keys and headed over to Miranda's house. His father was still legally married to his adopted mother until the divorce finalized in about a week but he lived with his mistress, his birth mother.
He drove like he was possessed by an evil spirit and an exorcist was giving him a chase. He could remember how many times he came to Maitama to see his birth parents. It was zero. He only remembered the route because he drove Queenie there a month ago to pick up some of her stuffs.
Jason knocked and pushed the door open to find McKenna and Queenie kneeling down to tend to Miranda. Her eyes were swollen and her lips were split into halves. Maybe he needed that exorcist because he had an idea of who was truly possessed.
"What is happening here?" Jason queried no one in particular.
