Jason went back to his room. Mckenna was still lying on her back and she was giving him the silent treatment. To break the uncomfortable silence, he brought up the discussion he had with his mom.
"So, my mom wants us to get married in the church"
"I am sure you said no" McKenna answered him and picked up the magazine she discarded before.
"I couldn't say... No"
Mckenna sat upright and dropped the magazine. She was a minute away from raining down hell on her husband. It was going to be the world's shortest marriage.
"Jason! The last thing i am going to do, is intentionally involve Jesus in this lie!" McKenna said and walked out.
