McKenna's heart thundered in her chest as the footsteps became closer and closer. She was confused, when one meets her accidental mother in law for the first time, was she supposed to bow or kneel before her or would a simple - how do you do - suffice.
McKenna closed her eyes momentarily and when she opened them, the woman she saw made her gasp.
"Mrs. L!" McKenna called out in shocked.
"McKenna!" Elixir also called her name.
Elixir came down from her room, ready to give her son and his wife a piece of her mind but here she was, face to face with a girl she considered her own. Elixir smiled through her shock. Doesn't God work in a mysterious way?
"You are my mother-in-law?" McKenna asked her and came closer to her.
"You married my son without my consent?"
"Jason is the son, you were telling me about?"
"Yeah and my guess is he is also the boss I helped dress you up to see?"
