Chapter hundred and fifty two
McKenna walked the street of Lagos and it brought back memories. And not necessarily the good ones. The last time she was there, the love of her life had up and left her for Malawi.
When Jason suggested they get away for some times, she didn't think things would get intense so quickly. But she hadn't being able to stop herself from telling him how she truly felt about him. She knew she couldn't hold it back anymore in those hours the intruders invaded his house and she had no idea whether he was alive or dead.
She figured if she ever got the chance, she would tell him the truth and she did. What McKenna didn't expect was for him to stare at her blankly afterward prompting her to tell him to think about it and give her a reply after her walk.
Now, she was roaming through the street of Lagos afraid to go back to their hotel room.
