Chapter hundred and thirty five
Jason pulled his car over at the restaurant in Lilongwe. He had just dropped off some documents for a potential investor there and he wanted some lunch before he headed back home to the orphanage. He went around and opened the door for Kara to come down from the car. She was still sulking but Jason ignored her countenance. It was nothing vanilla ice cream wouldn't fix in about a minute.
Few minutes ago, he was standing at the gate of her school waiting for her to get off from school, so he could pick her up before Thokozani came with the big bus to take all the children back to the orphanage. Occasionally, Jason picked her but most at times Kara rode along side the other children in the big bus.
They entered inside the restaurant and sat just few tables away from the entrance. He could see her look at the ice cream stand with want. He smiled and ignored it.
"I want ice cream" She demanded and pointed to the stand.
