Jason leaned closer to her and whispered something he didn't mean for her to hear. Something that was so true, he knew it without a doubt.
McKenna heard his reply as she closed her eyes. It played on repeat inside her head.
Never.
She liked the way it sounded and need to hear him say it. He was never letting her go. Maybe she had selfishness in her after all.
They stayed in bed for as long as possible. Jason pulled her into his arms to comfort her. He kissed her hair and forehead.
McKenna nuzzled closer, burrowing deeper into his body, no matter how close their body was, she felt the need to be even closer to him.
She unhooked his first button, and another and another. No objection came from Jason's end.
