Chapter 1 - A Wish Taken

"Ugh...why does today feel so long..?" A groaning voice called out quite loudly. The other students around him only sending side glances while focusing on the lecture.

"Ah, thank you Mister Isori for volunteering! Come on up please." A short old man with black hair that was balding directly on the top of his head called out for the groaning student, smiling brightly while clearly teasing the boy.

Reluctantly, the decently tall figure stood up slowly and walked down the steps, heading towards the board with a bead of sweat on his cheek.

"Now, can you answer this question?" The old man tapped the board with a small piece of white chalk.

With this, the boy stood still, reading through the problem slowly, weighing his options. Before he knew it, minutes had passed, and he was still thinking.

Clak! Clak!

The tapping of the chalk brought him back to his sense. The old man had a slight glare in his eyes, which made the boy nervous.

"Um..uh..4?" The boy nervously said, being unable to guide his thoughts to the correct answer, he spoke a random number, causing the class to erupt in laughter and the teacher to only glare even more.

"Wrong! Pay attention or get our Dekita Isori!" The old man shouted at the boy, this turning the class silent but snickers could still be heard as he hung his low and walked back to his seat with a solemn face.

'Why can't I have amazing powers, huh..?' He thought to himself, peering outside the window with a sense of defeat.

4 hours have passed, and it was the end of the lecture. Everyone was packing up and getting ready to leave, all but the old man.

"Dekita, stay after class for a bit." He said with a slight edge in his voice, sitting down at his desk in the large room.

Dekita sighed, but he knew he had no choice, so once everyone left he slung his bag over his shoulder and went to the old man's desk and stood in front of it.

"Dekita, you're failing not only my class, but 3 others. What do you plan to do with your life, only passing Art?" The old man huffed out angrily.

"Well sir, I plan to create my own anime and manga, to make people happy like how it does for me now." Dekita said proudly, smiling softly at his goal.

"Fool. That's not a lifestyle that can provide for you! Your dream is terrible, and won't be met at all in this world." The old man raised his voice now, which made Dekita huddle back a bit and rub his arm.

"I'm no fool, sir. My talents are elsewhere, not in this stupid class.." He spoke softly, and hurried out of the room, hearing inaudible shouts from his teacher once he closed the door. Today was a rough day for him so far.

On his way home, Dekita made sure to cross streets carefully. Who knew when a crazy truck would appear and end his short life? He definitely didn't. He did, however, glance up at the stars many many times, for the sky always amazed him.

'One of those stars are my lucky one. Hopefully it'll help me soon..' He thought, smiling awkwardly as he opened his door and took his shoes off inside.

He went up to his room, not bothering to eat as he had a burger on the way, and sat in front if his window to watch the sky.

Suddenly, a star started to twinkle, as if calling out to Dekita. This caused him to chuckle, what he was about to do seemed almost childish, but he needed a smile.

"Lucky star, please, grant me some of your luck. I'm doing terrible in this world of people who only want to belittle others. Please, help me." He said his wish quietly, but sincerely. No one should hear it but him.

After that, he stood up and climbed into bed, preparing himself for another day of being yelled at tomorrow. Another day of failure.

[Wish granted. Transporting Host to proper World]

"Eh?" Was all he could manage hearing the soft and robotic feminine voice. It was also the last thing he said on Earth, as all memories of him were fading away, so did any trace of his existence.
