Chapter 15 - CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Weekends have passed.

It's Monday.

"Ma'am Xera, You're very late on your first subject!" Our eldest helper woke me up. She was holding my schedule board while calling me loudly.

I slowly got up in bed and gestured her to leave the room.

Bathed.

Brushed my teeth.

Ironed my hair.

I cut my knee high skirt to mid thighs. Wore it. Tucked my white polo in, put on my ribbon, but this time, I wore the longest one. I cut my school coat just to end it under my chest. Wore it.

Wore my black belt with metal accents, my black choker. Make up. And... Done.

This is Melantha.

I called my driver and he drove me to school because that's his job. He's a DRIVER.

"Miss CLAVIENTA!" The teacher shouted at me the exact same time I entered the classroom. "What is—" She looked at me from head to toe, disgusted. "Th—That?!"

"Clothes. Duhh." I answered sarcastically while the whole class were preventing themselves from laughing.

"Miss Clavienta, come here please!" She shouted again so I groaned and grumpily walked towards her desk. "Sign here, here, here, and here." She said while pointing at the contents of the Violation Paper.

I signed the Inappropriate uniform, Make-up limit violence, Tardy, and the Teacher disrespect category. I scoffed after I did that and continued chewing my gum.

"And what is that you're chewing?!" She sounded so Angry.

"Gum." I said and went to my seat without looking at her. I looked around the room and saw Jane just looking at me like I'm so pathetic. Oh that bitch.

Class.

Class.

Class.

Lunch break!

I was about to go straight to the school cafe when the teacher from earlier blocked my path. I just looked at her with dark eyes.

"What happened to you?" I scoffed. "To the President's Office! Now!" She walked fast towards the Building where the office is and I just followed her.

I went in the office first and she slightly pushed me to sit on the chair so I pushed her to the other chair too.

"Ugh! Clavienta! This is too much disrespect! You are such a disappointment!"

"I don't live just to impress you, Miss Terrina."

She was about to shout at me again when The President got out from her restroom and walked towards her chair in front of us.

"What brings you here?" Mom asked.

"Ma'am, Miss Clavienta right here made too many violations today." Miss Terrina handed her the violation paper I signed earlier.

Mom looked at me in disbelief before looking down at the paper while shaking her head.

"What is this, Xera?" She looked at me while frowning.

"Ma'am, you know Xera wa—"

"Can you please shut up, Miss Terrina? I'm trying to talk to her. Just—" Mom sighed. "Just shut up."

Miss Terrina looked down and nodded.

"Xera, What happened to you?!"

I just looked at her. Put my hair behind my ears. Looked at her.

"I happened."

"What are you talking about?"

I sighed. "Ugh! You know, nothing happened to me. I was just going back to my old self and you didn't know that so let me show it to you okay!" Mom widened her eyes at me. "It's because you were never there when I enjoyed my life the most." She stood up. "And maybe that's why I enjoyed then, it's because you were never there!" I scoffed and walked out her office.

After I walked out the door, Jane blocked my path.

"What?!" I grumpily asked.

"A—are you okay, Xera?" She smiled at me, it was sincere but it made me mad.

I just scoffed and walked away. I went to the bathroom but she was still following me.

I looked at myself in the mirror. I saw her behind me. She looked so worried.

"What?! Why are you looking at me like that?! You think I'm pathetic again?! Huh?!" I started to asked her, crying.

She walked towards me and hugged me, causing myself to cry more.

"I'd never think of you as pathetic, Xera." I cried on her shoulders. "If you're still thinking about what I did to you in the past, I'm sorry. I'm really, really sorry." I cried while she just kept on talking.

"What did you do to me then?! Why did you do that to me?" I asked while crying.

-FLASHBACK-

Jane's point of view

It was the middle of the schoolyear and I was in class when I saw Xera, my bestfriend walked in the classroom. She's late again. Her hair is messy.

"Miss Clavienta! We'll talk about this later! Get on your seat!" She nodded.

She sat beside me. She was quiet so it was unusual of her. "Xera, did something happen?" She just looked at me with no emotions.

"Huh? No. Nothing happened."

Both of us are in 6th grade. She's always late but no one knew why. Maybe because boys always bully us. They bully us because we were always the Top of the class, both of us. But Xera became second. She started getting late, being so light-headed in class, and she just starts to cry in the middle if nowhere.

I attempted to convince her to go to a psychiatrist but she doesn't want to.

It's already lunchbreak.

I was eating on my table. Xera stood up.

"Xera, where are you going?"

"I'm gonna pee." I nodded. Xera got out the classroom and I saw boys following her.

But I thought it's just nothing, it's lunchbreak, it's normal for boys to get out the room when it's lunchbreak. They didn't follow her.

After quite sometime, Xera got back to her seat.

"Aren't you gonna eat?" I asked her.

"No, thank you." She looked at me with tired eyes and smiled.

"Are you okay?" She just nodded.

Class.

Class.

Class.

Dismissed.

The next day:

I was walking in the hallway to my classroom but stopped when I saw a lot of students outside our classroom. Mostly boys. Boys from our class and even boys from higher and lower levels.

I pushed them and came to see what they were looking at. It was—
