1.30 in the night, Antonio going on cocaine. Marie entering the room shrieked over him saying,

"Do you realize we have a baby coming on the way and you are still a hockey puck dosing cocaine.

It's high time you should get over OCD and if it's possible just think about the baby once." A pin

drop of silence was maintained and no reply from Antonio was heard. Antonio, an astute person

from the beginning of his academic life was knocked down due to anxiety and life issues. 12

years ago, Antonio and Marie started their martial life with an amplitude amount of happiness

but out of the blue their life's definition became distress. Antonio on drugs every day erstwhile

Marie worked to eat three square meals a day.

One day, Antonio came home late at night getting drunk and started misbehaving with Marie.

Marie belligerently shouted, "Get the fuck outta here. What have you thought of me, huh? Being

a 7 months pregnant lady with an unexpected baby coming on the way, it's now infeasible for me

to stay with you." "It's anxiety which is driving me diabolical," Antonio growled. "What

anxiety, huh? Dosing over marijuana, cocaine, getting high often yadda yadda yadda. This is

your anxiety? Oh god! This smell of filth is getting over my head." said Marie with her large and

tensed eyes. "It's not like-" (Marie gets out of the room even before Antonio could complete his

sentence). Antonio with his broken mind starts lighting stog after stog and chokes on the smoke.

Next day in the morning, Antonio feels no presence of Marie in the house. He found a letter

written by Marie, which says she's not going to live here until the due date which breaks Antonio

even more and makes him void. Many hours of illumination and darkness of Antonio pass

through smoking dope and getting high on drugs.

Today is the due date of Marie, the baby is coming. Antonio was informed to see his newborn

baby if he wants to. He was present there with a heart full of apology and his extreme desire to

see the baby. "Congratulations", the doctor said after hearing the vagitus, "It's a girl", the doctor

said. Antonio rejoiced with extreme happiness with his family. His heart felt warm when he took

her daughter in his lap for the very first time and also promised to never take drugs again,

looking in the eyes of his little princess. Then, Antonio apologized to Marie and promised that he

will not take drugs ever and will contribute in the betterment of their little family.

It's the day Antonio made all arrangements to welcome his newborn daughter and his wife. The

first step of Marie with their newborn baby made the house enlighten with happiness and dazzled

the aura. Every morning birds' chirping was heard beside the crib of their baby.

A week passed. The baby got the name Amelia with lotta blessings and love. She is like the

apple of Antonio's eye. The Seasons changed, aura changed, tone of the sky changed. Antonio

got a job. When Amelia is one year old and can speak with incogitable language with his father.

"Pa-pa" the first word said by Amelia staring at Antonio. Her every smile fills Antonio's heart

with deep warmth. Handsdown Amelia liked to play Peek-a-boo with Antonio every so often so

he did because every peek-a-boo brought a smile in Amelia's face. Putting her to sleep, feeding

yadda yadda yadda was Antonio's favorite time with Amelia. That's how an indestructible bond

was created between Antonio and Amelia.

Years passed, Amelia was admitted to a renowned school. In course of time, everyone noticed

that Amelia was different from others. She was extremely humorous in her studies. Things went

like this. Amelia became the snowflakes of her parents and teachers. They always wanted

Amelia to work for the country.

Amelia turned 17 this year. This phase of her life is called ORDEAL. She sat for the entrance

exam in the best university. That went phenomenal. Antonio and Marie were pretty buoyant.

Erstwhile, Amelia had a nauseous feeling, constipation and was weak as well. She disclosed the

matter from her father and sipped acetaminophen.

Today is the result day of entrance exam. Antonio went to check the results and it was Amelia's

name at the top of the chart. Antonio was too cherished by happiness. Meanwhile due to extreme

fatigue feeling Amelia became senseless. Antonio called Marie to give that good news but he

ended up hearing that dreadful. Antonio ran up to the house and took Amelia to hospital. After

proper diagnosis, the doctor asked Amelia's parents to meet him in his cabin. "Colorectal

Cancer" the doctor said. "One of the vicious cancers" the doctor added. "Survival chances?"

asked Antonio being broken all inside. "Prolly 63%" the doctor said while scratching his head.

They discussed about the treatment, chemo and their expenses as well. Antonio and Marie were

up for treatment with the best physician in the country. But all inside they were broke. "What the

report says, papa?, asked Amelia. "Nothing big" Antonio replies. "Your immaculate tensed eyes

are telling me something else. C'mon now please split the truth. Mom can you please tell me

what the hell is happening? " says Amelia. "Colorectal Cancer, but trust me honey your papa will

get you the best treatment. You will be fine", stated by Antonio with tears in his eyes. "How

many days I live?" asked Amelia with an echo of sadness. "You are gonna be fine. Nothing will

happen. You will live with us", says Marie while sobbing. "Only if it's possible" said Amelia.

"Amelia, listen to me dear papa is here for-" (Amelia leaves the room even before Antonio could

complete his sentence). "Leave her alone", Antonio said when Marie wanted to follow Amelia.

Treatment started, chemo's side effects were visible on Amelia. Amelia's cancer

started to spread. Her condition was getting even worse. One night, "I can't live without my

daughter", says Marie with tearful eyes. "She's gonna be ok, alright?" said Antonio. Antonio was

deeply hurt and upset of Amelia's cancer but didn't express as somebody needed to be strong to

control the situation. Meanwhile, Amelia was admitted in the hospital.

The next day, no birds chirping was heard. It was all silence around. Getting ready Antonio went

to the hospital to meet Amelia. He went to Amelia's cabin but she wasn't there. He asked a nurse

about it and she said her condition became too woeful and that's why doctor shifted her to the

ICU. Antonio was getting a bad feeling but he wanted to be positive about the situation. Half an

hour later, the doctor came out of the ICU and said "You can say your last words to your

daughter. She is running out of time." Antonio ran in and said, "Honey you will be fine. Papa is here."

"Take care of mom. In my whole life I loved you and mom the most. It's time to leave. I love

you papa", exhaled Amelia her last breath saying this. And when she died in his arm, he fell into

an emotional coma from which he never awoke. Antonio was totally broke and couldn't believe

what happened. He informed Marie about this and on the phone with no reply Marie broke into

tears with insanely sobbing. Marie couldn't take this thing. Coming home, Antonio found Marie

hanging with the fan. He was aghast and went into trauma.

Some days passed, Antonio started getting on drugs again as he was dead inside. Antonio

looking at the family picture hanging in the wall said, "It was impossible for me to see the cradle convert into Coffin"
