Chapter three:
Ja-ni laughed. Seeing Jacen die, to taste his blood. It gave her lust and power. She wanted more. She didn't know why, (not that she cared) all she heard was the wicked laughter.
She felt Palpatine's leathery hands on her shoulders his spirit fingers trailing cheeks. This is what family is, granddaughter. Ja-ni smiled. She thought it was wonderful.
But as she stared into Jacen's lifeless eyes, something pulled at her heart. She felt a horrible twist of deja vu. Did I do something wrong?
Palpatine smiled. No, Empress. Completely the opposite. Let go Ja-ni. The galaxy is yours now. You're still holding on. Let go.
Ja-ni closed her eyes. Her grandfather's words felt reassuring, but she still felt that ache in her stomach. Something she felt deep inside. She felt it when Leia had died, but... she felt the chains of loneliness tighten.
No matter. It's mine now. Ja-ni lifted her hand's. They felt so young, so agile. She brought them up to the buns of her fiery red hair. Slowly she untied them, until her hair flowed into three tight ponytails.
Ja-ni looked up at the battle above her. Such pitful things. I'll put them out of their misery. She opened her hands, and her lightning crackled into the sky, hitting all of the Rebel ship's. Making them unstable, making them vulnerable to the Galactic Empire. The Star Destroyers shot down the Rebel ship's with ease.
Ja-ni laughed. It felt amazing, the blood she had spilled. Such strength and power she had. To end life in one cruel stroke.
Ja-ni strode out of the throne room, her black cloak billowing behind her, Jacen's blood still splattered on her face.
Walking out of the Sith temple, she saw Anakin Solo helping an injured Jaina Solo out of a crashed flaiming X-wing. Upon seeing her, Anakin ran to Ja-ni, attempting to give her a hug, but she moved back, startled by the gesture.
Anakin knit his eyebrows in confusion. Ja-ni. What's going on?
Ja-ni looked at him and smiled. Anakin stumbled back, startled by her appearance. She was dressed in a midnight black cloak, her buns were gone, and her eyes were gold, the color of poison. Her teeth were fanged and crooked.
Ja-ni! What happened to you? What did you do? Anakin Solo asked her. Ja-ni chuckled. Oh Anakin. I've became everything I wanted to be. Powerful. I have family. People who love me, Anakin.
No. Nononono, Ja-ni. It's not. Said Anakin Solo.
It is. It's who I am. It's what I am. My grandfather told me so. Ja-ni replied.
Jaina staggered over to Anakin. Grandfather... no. You can't. You... you're too good. Said Anakin Solo.
Ja-ni twirled around. Oh, but I can be evil. No. It's what I was born to do.
Jaina Solo gasped. You're his granddaughter. You're a Palpatine.
Ja-ni laughed. This made both Jaina Solo and Anakin Solo stumble back. It didn't sound like Ja-ni. This one, this evil woman. She wasn't Ja-ni.
Yes, Jaina. I am. I'm his granddaughter. I am his heirless of darkness. You should be bowing to your Empress. Said Ja-ni.
No. We're not going to let. Ja-ni, this isn't you. You're wrong. Replied Anakin Solo.
At this, Ja-ni lifted her hand, making Anakin Solo float up. She threw him to the side of a X-wing, knocking him unconscious.
Jaina Solo screamed. Ja-ni! Come to your senses! What the hell do you think you're doing?
Ja-ni laughed and threw lightning on her, stunning her to the ground. She then knelt down and gave her a sugary smile.
Everything, Jaina. Everything. You want to know why? It's all mine! Said Ja-ni.
Jaina Solo spat on her face. Witch.
Ja-ni Force choked her. Jaina Solo's friend was gone. In her place was the wicked Princess, the galaxy's Sith.
Ja-ni was dead, and she would never be able to return.
