As soon as Alexandra gave Adrienne the paper so she could give it to Thomas on 'how to make lose her mind?' she dashed out of the company and took a taxi and went home
"Hey Martha I am home"
"Hey sweetie" said Martha from the kitchen
"Sorry I didn't help you with the fish-"
"It's okay sweetheart, you got home just in time to set the tables for lunch" said Martha
"Okie Dokie. Just let me get changed real quick"
-time skip-
"Well it's done go call your father"
"Alright" said Alex when went out to the bakery to call George
"Dad" Alex called out entering the bakery seeing her father sitting on the a
"O-oh h-hey Alex I didn't see you coming home" said George drying his tears
"Dad? Why are you crying about?" asked Alex worriedly
"Oh nothing just-" George couldn't hold back and cried
Alexa saw her father holding a very old picture it was a picture of her mother Rachel, George, and herself when she was little and Alexa's eyes watered a bit
"I know dad I miss her too," said Alex hugging her father trying her best to not have a breakdown because she had to stay strong for her father, its the promise she made to her mother before dies, she is not gonna break it know
"Lunch is ready, right? we better go before Martha gets worried" said George
"Yeah you are right"
-time skip-
"What too you two so lon-" Martha saw her husband's and her stepdaughter's eyes red obviously they cried before coming here and either of them didn't look like they want to talk about it, so let it slide and pretended as if she didn't notice
"So what do we have ?" asked George
"Why don't you see for yourself?" asked Alex
As soon as George set eyes on the fish he made a wide smile
"Roasted fish!!" smiled George
"Yep" both Martha and Alex said in union
While they were eating Alex suddenly spoke
"Hey dad"
"Yes, Kiddo?"
"I was wondering if you and Martha would want to go on a walk and maybe buy ice cream along the way with me later"
"Of course you didn't even have to ask," said George beaming with joy
"That's a wonderful idea, Alex," said Martha playing dumb
And thus after they had the roasted fish they took a walk to an ice cream shop nearby
"What flavor would you like sir?" asked the worker
"Chocolate" answered George
"What about you madam?"
"Hmm cherry I guess" replied Martha
"And you young lady?"
"Coffee, but bitter please"
"Alright.....here you go please enjoy"
They paid for their ice cream and continued to walk around the neighborhood talking about anything and everything it was nice
And when got back home Martha was staring into space George looked worried but Alexandra knew it was an act
"Dear are you ok?"
"Dang it, I was planning to buy some fruit along the way but I forgot"
"Oh then maybe we can all go and buy some" suggested George
"But I have to make dinner" said Martha
"And I wanted to take shower," said Alex
"Oh ok then I will go and get some," said George, feeling down but little did he about the surprise he was gonna get when she returns
"Thank you dear and I am sorry" apologized Martha
After George left the house again Martha and Alexa felt really guilty but then they quickly started to decorate the garden and the cake
After a while, George got home with a plastic bag full of fruits and saw the kitchen was empty and so was upstairs so he went downstairs again to check the garden and saw Alexandra and Martha waiting for him the garden was decorated beautifully and there was fancy cake on the table
"SURPRISE"
"W-what?"
"It's your birthday day dad"
"Oh really?"
"Oh you two remember everyone's birthday but not yours like father like daughter," said Martha with a nagging voice
"Hehehe" laughed George and Alexandra nervously,
"I thought it was suspicious that today's meals were all my favorite" said George " "Thank you both of you what did I do to deserve you two" continued George hugging them tightly
"Oh I also wrote something for you" said Alex taking out a beautiful envelope and giving it to George and he opened it to read it
'As years pass by I realize more and more that I am the luckiest person on earth to have you for a father, when you hug me your arms are placed where I am unconditionally loved and most safe, no matter how many years pass by I will always be your little girl -Truly your daughter Alexandra' George cried again and hugged her, and Martha too was crying
The celebration goes on
-Years ago-
"YOU LIED"
"Alexa I-"
"BOTH YOU AND MUM"
"Sweetie I-"
"YOU SAID SHE IS GETTING BETTER, SHE SAID SHE IS GETTING BETTER" shouted a little Alexandra at her father
"Let me exp-"
"Why? W-why Isn'T ThE tREAtmeNt wOrKIng??!? Y-yOU saID IT WAS WORKING" cried Alexa tears running down her eyes
George kneeled down to her daughter's height and hugged her tightly
"I am sorry" George cried too on his daughter's shoulder
Alexa hugged him back as tightly as her little fingers could on her father's shirt and continued crying
"I don't WAnt her to go" said Alexa
"Either do I" replied George
"Dad I don't want mom to go" cried, Alexa
"I know, but it's not in our control, life is like that Alexa. I am not going to say it won't hurt, because it is gonna hurt a lot but with time we will make it through"
"I DONT WANT TO FORGET MOM" shouted Alexa breaking the hug
"Alexa moving on doesn't mean forgetting about someone it means that we finally accepted they are gone and live on without them, but no matter what they will live in our memories and in our hearts ok?"
Alexa didn't say anything, she just kept crying
"Do you want to visit your mom?" asked George
"O-of course" replied Alexandra so they went to the hospital
