Deloria's PoV
I've been feeling sick so, I'm taking a leave from work for a week. So glad they allowed it.
First morning sickness
Second nausea and
Third food cravings,
that's what I've been feeling everyday
I'm heading out for the follow-up checkup but it seems like my feet can't even carry my body to get out of the door but, it's a miracle I even arrived at the hospital on time
"Mr. Dimanahan, it's your turn after the person inside leaves" the nurse said, I just gave her a slight nod
I did manage to get out of the house and travel but I feel so weak that I want to just lay down right here and of course I can't do that at the hallway
"Mr. Dimanahan it's your turn now"
"Yes, thank you"
Entering the room where the doctor is behind the computer
"Good morning Doctor Valles" I greeted her
"Ahh Mr. Deloria, take your seat, how are you?" She said putting her eye glasses on
"I'm actually not feeling well" I took a seat in front of her table "Honestly I feel like I'm about to die"
"Okay, please answer all of my questions" she got a folder and a pen "do you feel any morning sickness?"
"Ahhh... yes"
"Okay, how about nausea while having meals?" She ask again while checking and writing something
"Yes, especially the smell of bacon and some other food it makes me sick" I admitted
"Hmm okay, do you crave for something like for example in food??" She looked at me
"I do" I'm feeling nervous now "why?"
"We have to do an ultrasound if you really are pregnant, please follow me" standing up and going to the other room so I followed suit
I- I- I'm what?! pregnant?? This situation is making it even harder for me, I know having a baby is what I have always wanted but, I have a mate now and what's worst is that we already mated and marked each other
"Lay down here and pull your shirt up to your chest" I did as I am told while Doctor Valles prepare the machine "this gel will be cold but it will help us to see what's inside your womb"
She put the transparent liquid-gel-like to my tummy and it really is cold then she started to scan it with a handle like wand and not even ten seconds pass I can hear it
'lub-dub... lub-dub...'
'lub-lub-dub... lub-lub-dub'
I can hear my baby's heart beats, upon hearing it tears started to fall on my face like rain
"Here they are"
"They?" Another shock to my heart "you mean"
"Yes, it's a twins, you're about one week pregnant, this is baby A" pointing at the monitor "and this is baby B" pointing at the tiny black spots
That's my babies, I can't believe it! they are inside me, cute little ones are inside my womb
"Congratulations Mr. Deloria, do you want to have a picture of them?" Doctor asked me smiling all I can do is nod while wiping my face "okay, let's clean you up and let's continue to talk outside, yeah?" Handing me the tissue box
"Y-yes" I managed to choke out
Wiping my tummy clean, I followed doctor Valles back to her table and taking a sit
"Drink this" giving me a bottled water "again congratulations but, I can smell that you've been marked, you found your mate" she said professionally
"Y-yes, I- he- we met that day right after I did the procedure" I said holding the bottle tightly
"I know you're worried about who's the father of the baby right?" She started to say which made me burst to tears "oh honey listen to me" she stand up and took a seat beside me putting an arm at my back "we discussed that the procedure is only 25% effective so, there's a 75% chance that they are your mate's children"
"B-but I'm afraid he'll re-reject us if- if they're not his..."
"Oh no, he's not going to do that, I can sense that he really care and loves you, honey you have to always think positive because babies can feel what you feel, okay?"
"Yeah, oh-okay t-thank you" I really hope that everything is going to be alright but I'm still scared
"Drink this vitamins every night 30 minutes before going to sleep, eat properly and healthily, fruits and vegetables are needed for you and the babies" giving me the bottle of vitamins "come back for another check up in two weeks but, if you feel that something is wrong with the babies you have to call me ASAP, understand?" Giving me her calling card
After composing myself and bid my farewell to Doctor Valles, I'm going to get some groceries and it's my first bonding time with my babies
Two of them, isn't that amazing, both palm on my tummy with a big smile on my face. My mood swings are probably getting abnormal
