morning came, the sun was shinning through the glass window of the eighteen year old redhead, athena's room. time sure passes by quite fast, doesn't it? last time she remembered going through her walk in closet, trying to find something to wear for the date she herself have set, and now she's being woken up from her not-so-short slumber by her loud ass alarm clock
ring, ring, ring.
the exhausted lady groaned loudly but the sounds came out muffled since her head was burried down her pillow, annoyed after a few tries of reaching and shutting up the noisy clock.
"good lord, shut up!" pushing half of herself off the bed, she finally succeeded to reach and turn the alarm off
athena was never the morning person, rather than that; when awoken early, she's very grumpy and short tempered. which brings us to question her why she had set the time for thier so-called "date" to early in the morning.
"you're such an idiot, athena reign"
after a moment of questioning her decisions, she had finally decided that it was time for her to get up and ready for the date she has with a seventeen year old raven head, the arleigh parker.
6 : 36 a.m.
she had finished taking a bath and clothing herself.
a smile was formed on her lips when she gazed at herself on the full body mirror designed with fake vines "looking good" she claimed, posing a few times.
athena wore a pair of dark blue long waisted jeans that emphasized her long legs, a white cropped top that had its sleeves puffed and a pair of white shoes. both pieces of clothing complemented her perfect hour glass like body. anyone would find her attracting and eye-catching, especially her dark and cold blue eyes, that matched both her necklace and personality.
"nothing left?" she asked herself, her brown sling bag hanging from her shoulder, hand grasping on her six inch phone "oh right" grabbing the silky white scrunchie, she shoved her phone on the pockets of her jeans as she then pulled her hair in a not-so neat ponytail.
we wouldn't want our hair to ruin the look of the day, the look she wanted to come out more than as "good" for the sake of not embarrassing, not just herself but also the younger girl.
finally satisfied, she left her room and made her way to the kitchen where she found her younger sister, lilac and her father, rupert.
"morning dad" she greeted, passing by her sister and not forgetting to pinch her chubby cheeks
the younger redhead grumbled as she tried to pull herself away from her older sister's hold "when will you stop that?"
athena placed herself on the kitchen island, just beside her sister and gazed at her with her sly smile "when you're thirty, li" she answered oh-so-happily before turning to thier father "i'll go out for a bit" she told the thirty-nine year old muscular man.
lilac couldn't help but raise a brow at her sister, scanning her from top to bottom "are you going on a date with a girl again?" she asked out of curiosity, figuring a few things out just by the older girl's outfit
athena turned to her sister and pinched both her cheeks "you know me too well, don't you, little sis" she said in a squishy like tone, grabbing a toast and an apple from the table, leaving her toast hanging from mouth, teeth hold it in place.
"be home not later than four in the afternoon okay?" he yelled, eyeing his daughter running out from thier house.
"uhm— i'll try" she smiled slyly at her father. she was already outside of the house, ready to close the door.
"athena rae—"
"love you!" athena interrupted, closing the door behind her "not this morning dad" she smiled bitterly, walking to her car.
there's no way she's gonna be wasting her time listening to her father's scolding, telling her that she must pay attention and listen to his words and such. i mean, she could just sleep through it but it'll be more bothersome, afterall she is trying to catch up time knowing someone might be already at the gaston village waiting for her.
"she seems oddly odd" lilac scrunched her nose
rupert raised a brow in confusion "how so?"
she shrugged her shoulders and grabbed another pancake "she woke up early, and is very much dressed up" she answered, pouring chocolate syrup down her pile on pancakes
"yeah, so?"
lilac hunched, not believing his father's obliviousness "seriously now?"
the single father continued to raise a brow at the thirteen year old girl.
frustrated, lilac huffed and settled the bottle of chocolate syrup by her plate "have you seriously not noticed how she was dressed and seemingly excited? it drained me for some reasons, i haven't seen her like that since like" she ranted "forever, it's all so new to me"
"isn't she always like that though?"
lilac gasped a bit in disbelief "do you even know your own daughter? oh my— i give up"
rupert couldn't help but burst into laughter "i was just kidding, i'm well aware of it" he giggled, enjoying his teasing of his daughter "perhaps it's gonna be different this time" he claimed, turning his back on the redhead and continued his 'baking'.
"possibly" lilac shrugged, also continuing her own business; devouring her pile of pancakes.
hopefully it is, rupert thought as he pulled the now baked good from the oven "wanna help me decorate these after you eat?" he asked, smiling at her.
lilac nodded her head vigorously as she returned the smile to the old man "absolutely!" she responded in glee.
meanwhile the older well-dressed redhead girl went off to her car
"6:59" athena read the time on her phone before settling it beside her bag on the passenger's seat and started the engine "good enough"
it's only gonna be a five minute drive anyway, well if athena is lucky enough to not meet traffic. although it is quite doubtful to be so as it's still pretty early, not much people are on the streets driving thier fancy cars.
the drive went on smoothly, but unfortunately she arrived later than seven and so was arleigh— possibly. the roads were pretty much peacefully except for that one street that's two blocks away from her house, a riot between a few girls where occuring. something about a man, that they were arguing about.
athena clicked her tongue in both disbelief and annoyance "foolish idiots" she muttered, parking her car along side a few familiar ones.
call athena nosy and she wouldn't careless about it, afterall it isn't exactly her fault, thier voices were like louder than a man using a microphone.
athena slipped her sling bag by shoulder and locked her car, gazing at herself for a bit at her car's side mirror before moving on and making her inside the gaston village, where a fare has been held for five days; today, marked it's second day.
the redhead patiently waited at the entrance of the small village, glancing at her phone from time to time.
"where is she?" she grumbled, flinching at the sudden tap she felt on her shoulder "what— where were you?" athena raised a brow, visibly mad "i've been waiting here for like forever" ten minutes actually, she's just exaggerating.
the younger girl couldn't help but chuckle nervously and scratch her own nape "sorry, i had to accompany a friend of mine for a bit" arleigh smiled nervously "y-you look stunning by the way" she confessed, looking away to hide her flustered face
athena felt herself heat up at the sudden compliment from the raven head. compliments weren't something new to athena, she was always showered with plenty of complements but hearing it from the younger seemed to have a different ring on her ears. what's even more weird ( frankly, for athena herself ), is the she felt butterflies on her tummy after hearing those words escape her mouth. She hadn't felt such a feeling for some time now.
finally composing herself— well not much at least, she turned to the younger and gazed at her "you don't look bad yourself. you look cu— taller, you seem taller with those chunky shoes on" almost! she almost slipped her tongue and exposed herself too badly.
arleigh laughed "yeah, i think so. i didn't want to look to small beside you since you yourself is quite tall compared to me, so i decided to wear these for a bit of a change" looking up to the older, she gazed a bit at her chunky shoes and giggled
"you would've looked cute either way" athena mumbled to herself
fortunately, arleigh wasn't able to hear to due to the crowded and quite of a loud place.
"what?"
she shot her head to arleigh's way with a questioning look "what's what?" athena retorted
"that's why i'm asking you what's what because i couldn't hear what it was that you said earlier" she giggled
"what?" athena was now confused, she clicked her tongue at the raven head who just smiled at her with brows raised, seemingly demanding answers "you know what forget it" she said, turning her heels and entering the village
"but—"
"are we gonna go on with our date or are we gonna keep on with the what's what with whattywy what's what?" she raised her brows questioningly, visibly and successfully making the younger submit. athena seemed on range
she chuckled nervously "sure, uhm, let's going" she smiled "i've got a few things to show you, so it's better if we get going now" walking up to the older she held her wrist and started dragging her inside the village "let's go!" she giggled
and here it starts; tiring and helping themselves out till dusk possibly.
