It's been more than a Week and with time Kriti and Neha adjusted in the environment. Divya became a good friend with them. Whenever Neha and Sumit went for a date, Kriti spend her time with her friend.
Since Neha and Sumit went for a date, Kriti and Divya were having their meal in the canteen together while Rahul came to Kriti and sat with them with his snacks
'Hey Kriti, how are you?' he said to her with a smile on his face,
'I am good. What about you?' kriti replied to him
'I am good too. By the way you are coming for the basketball selection right' he replied while drinking the juice,
'Basketball selection...' she exclaimed and looked at him,
'Yaaa... I remember that on the day of the Party you told us that you are good basketball player and in fact you have won the best player of the tournament in Cluster's also. Didn't you saw the notice that was given in the campus group?' he replied to her,
'I don't think so that I saw' she replied looking at him,
'Okay then I will tell you...Kriti tomorrow at 4:30 pm there is basketball selection for our College team for both the boys and girls teams, so it will be better that if you come tomorrow for the selection' he said to her and smiled at her. He also said that she is good player although he didn't saw her playing so she will be selected.
'Thank you so much for informing Rahul... Please give my name and also Neha's name for the selection' she replied to him and thanked him.
'By the way, even Sumit is there in the team, he didn't tell you guys or what' Rahul questioned her,
'No...Sumit didn't said anything about this, he is busy with his date taking away my friend from me' she replied to Rahul complaining that she is not getting time to spend with her friend. She looked at him with her eyes big and a smile on her face.
'Fine I will give your names...' he replied to her and laughed at her for the childish complain and the childish look which she gave him,
'Thank you...' she said him and did the Namaste to him,
Meanwhile two of his friends came to him and then looked at the girls,
'Okay then, Rahul we are having classes to attend so we will be leaving now...' she said to him while putting the chair aside and smiled at those boy's,
'Okay then...don't forget to come for the selection' he replied to her
'Hmmm...Bye-Bye' she replied and left the canteen with her friend Divya.
Kriti went to attend the classes and when the classes got over, she went back to the hostel room and found that Neha was still on her date so after she freshen up and was about to sleep, Neha came in the room after her long date.
'Neha I have given our names for the basketball selection, which will be held tomorrow after the classes gets over' Kriti said to Neha making her cute face
'What....no I am not going' she replied and threw her hand bag on Kriti's bed,
'Please...don't be lazy' Kriti replied to her and went to the bed,
'No...' Neha said to her,
'Don't you know that Sumit is already there in the basketball team, so now also you don't want to go for the selection' she replied to her while convincing her,
'Really' she replied to her and then sat on the bed with her,
'Haaa...but that's fine if you don't want to come for the selection' she said to her and went to her bed
'Who said that they don't want to join the basketball team, we are already there in the team' Neha said to her and went to her and sat on her bed,
'Haa...what do you mean' she asked to Neha,
'Aviraj is boy's captain and also the Sports in-charge so, Sumit already told me before that our names are already there and we are in the basketball team. Actually, I forgot to tell you Kriti, I am so sorry but we can't say this to others that we are selected or else it won't be good, so' Neha said to her and smiles at her,
'But it's not fair' she replied to her and looked at her,
'We have our past participation certificate so it's okay, because he told me that with the past certificate also we get selected' Neha said to Kriti as she knows that in case of Sports Kriti is serious about it and she always like to play fair no matter what,
'Neha, call Sumit now and ask him to remove our names from the selection, coach will be selecting us on behave of our performances' she said to her gave and her the phone,
'But Kriti...' before Neha could complete her words,
'Talk with him' she called him and gave her the phone,
'Hi Sumit, actually please remove my and Kriti's name from the team, I mean tomorrow we will go for the selection and then the coach should select the team. I mean you know right, how Kriti is so please do it now' Neha talked with him and then kept the call,
'Kriti it's done' she said her and looked at her
'Thank you' she replied to her and saw at her,
'Don't say thank you, and now give me the notes of today I will copy it and you take rest. Goodnight' she replied to her and went to change her dress,
'Take it from my bag and sleep early' Kriti said to her while she changed her dress,
'Fine... goodnight' Neha said to her and took the notes from her bag.
On the other hand when Sumit asked Aviraj to remove their name, Aviraj was shocked that why he wanted to remove their name so when he asked her, Sumit said him that "Kriti don't want to play unfair" this girl is so unique, he said to her and went to the bed while Aviraj smiled and then removed their names from the selected players.
On the next day, Kriti and Neha went to the basketball court for the selection. They were the first person to reach the court while others were coming. Sumit came and sat beside Neha, while Kriti took the basket ball and went inside the court. When she shoots the basket, the ball went outside the court so she went to bring the ball, she notice that a guy was looking at her from far but she could not figure it out who was the boy was. Later on, when all the players both boys and girls team came for the selection they started practicing, since there was only a single court so, in the half court boys were practicing and on the other half court girls were practicing.
Coach asked the players to do some lay-up, free-throw and defence-offence. All the players started practicing, after ten minutes he asked everyone to do the task alone one by one. When all the players were done with the practice he asked the player's to seat and rest for five minutes. On the other hand he asked the boy's team to practice. After five minutes, he said that he had selected the player's and the selection was done.
'We are now in the team officially...I will get to spend more time with Sumit' Neha said out of excitement to Kriti,
'Yaa' she replied to her.
Since 12 girls were selected, the other girls left the court. Out of those 12 players 8 of them were old players and seniors, only 4 new players were added. Similarly, even boys selection was done and the whole basketball team was formed for both the boys and the girls.
Coach asked the boys team to rest while girl's team will have a match among themselves. The girl's team were divided into two groups consisting of five-five players. In one team there were five senior players who were the main players of the team whereas on the other team there were substitute players including Kriti and Neha.
The match started, and Kriti was so good at playing that she basket the ball so many times within fifteen minutes that almost all the boys were cheering her up and were passing comments like "One more three point" even Neha was good at playing so they were cheering them up. When the match ended the main player team lose the match with 12 points and while the substitute team won the match including Kriti and Neha.
'Kriti, you were so cool in the match, your three points was really dammm good' Sumit said to her while wiping Neha's sweat with his towel,
'Aaa...thank you Sumit' Kriti replied to him and smiled at him.
As the girl's match was over now coach asked the boy's team to play the match and asked the girl's team to rest and watch the boy's match. When the boys were playing the match, Kriti saw at a boy who was playing exceptional well that Kriti couldn't take her eyes off him.
When the match was over, coach asked all the team members to relax for sometime before leaving the court. All the team members were sitting and chatting with each other, except that one person. As soon as the match gets over he used to leave the court. He used to come for the practice and watch Kriti silently and then leave the court. This continues for a week, when one day Kriti asked her team captain Shriya about the guy.
