"Do you think it's okay for the kids to travel at this time? Mrs. Gu asked as she arrived in the living room.
"Why do you think it isn't okay for them to travel? Mr. Gu folded the newspaper he was holding and he stood up to go to her.
"You know, with Li Wei still out there planning his revenge." Mrs. Gu shook her head.
"He can't harm them," Mr. Gu placed his hands on her shoulder.
"But what if he tries, and someone ends up getting hurt?" Mrs. Gu looked him in the eyes. "The children need to stay here with us until we're sure everything is going to be alright."
Mr. Gu nodded. He knew that it would take more than one gunshot to kill any of them, but it wasn't like any one of them had ever been shot before either. Not a bullet hole, no blood or bone, a scratch on their skin.
"Don't say that," Mrs. Gu shook her head.
"That didn't mean they couldn't get injured, and you know it."
"Relax, Hee Min, the kids will be fine.
