40 years ago, humanity had fallen. The city was full of monsters and endless raging fires that almost wiped out the entire human race. Screams and bloodshed were all that existed.
Rin's parents died because of servants of the queen attacking their city in a merciless rampage. Revenge—to kill the queen and the endless swarms of monsters—was all that remained in his heart, one that nobody could handle. This would be easy; as he had a superior ranking than the others.
Nobody would get in his way and all those who dare would die.
Rin and his subordinates fought the queen—the dreaded, cold-blooded, and selfish queen that wanted humanity to be wiped out from the face of the world, being the only one who had powers to do so.
His subordinates died while fighting her. Adding more fuel to the vengeance burning in his heart.
To his bafflement, his sister was nowhere to be found. He tried to search for her in the neighborhood, the alleys, and even in the next town. He asked each person he could get a hold of but still, the girl could not be found. It's as if she vanished in thin air. While walking home with the feeling of emptiness and defeat, a sudden coldness enveloped his body.
Rin: "AGAIN?!"
His breathing rapidly increased, his vision turned blurry and then cleared into a picture of his sister locked in a cage below a small staircase leading to a throne.
On the throne, is seated a pale woman with black hair and lips as red as blood. Her nose was sharp and her eyes gleamed with that of malice, seemingly looking straight at him. With a sudden swipe of her hand, a black beam appeared, aimed at his chest but out of nowhere, he was pushed out of the way and as he fell on the floor, he woke up to the sight of a girl asking if he was all right.
Girl: "Are you all right, Mister?"
Rin got up with a groan due to the pain in his head and addressed the girl:
Rin: "Ugh… I'm fine. Thank you. I'm just a bit... tired."
Girl: "Well, an old man passed by and told me to pass a message to you."
Rin: "What is it?"
Girl: "Your sister is still waiting for you at the bottom of the stone steps."
Rin was speechless after the girl spoke the final word.
Girl: "Are you sure, you're okay, Mister?"
Despite the confusion and headache, Rin managed to give her a hug.
Girl: "Okay, Mister. If you say so. I still have to do my chores for today so I need to hurry home. Take care!"
(Rin sat on that alley for a long time, making sense of the chaos that appeared out of nowhere just as her sister vanished.)
The Queen released a laser beam to kill Rin, but Rin managed to dodge the beam and sprinted towards the Queen in an attempt to attack her. But before he was able to be of arms-reach, his position was suddenly changed along with his subordinate's.
He saw his close friend, ever since they were kids before he lost his memory. The image of his sister and his friend overlapped with each other. One moment, Yuriana was his old friend and the next moment, she was his sister.
Yuriana, his friend and sister. The one he trained with every day all those years ago, was her.
The person he forgot.
Rin tried to bring her to safety but due to the number of enemies, she almost had the same fate as Rin's ally.
Mysteriously, a monster that looked like one of the servants of the Queen arrived. It spoke to Rin, convincing him to agree to a deal that could save both of them.
"For the deal to work, you have to sacrifice your memories—and Yuriana has to be the next queen."
"Do whatever it takes to save her! Please, just save her!" Rin shouted with a worried tone.
He had to end the war no matter the cost. Moreover, he knew his and Yuriana's memories would return. It would not be long before his present memories of the war would come back to his future self. So without hesitation, he sealed the deal.
The servant teleported him and his fallen subordinates to Earth: a beautiful, diverse terrain filled with luscious plant life and plentiful organisms in all shapes and sizes, a world that had a good rating in the university they attended. Meanwhile, her sister was left behind, stuck in the clutches of the evil queen, eager to possess the young girl's they as her new vessel.
Separate from the others, he lived peacefully on Earth, unaware of the lives they lived, the powers they waged, and the enemy they could not defeat.
Breaking free from the bonds of illusions, Rin awoke to the reality that he lost. An important mission is at hand.
After he saw his missing memories inside of the box, he had a shocked expression on his face.
A voice from nowhere called out, repeating the same words:
"Go to Mount Huji… Mount Huji… Mount Huji… You have to go to Mount Huji… The queen has taken control over your sister…You have to… save her… Come to Mount Huji…"
