Aasan was leaning against the wall on the bed. His eyes were closed, breathing was slow and even, but he was not sleeping. He had put off the light armour he was wearing only in a simple vest and trousers. Even though they were inside the fortress, it was still quite cold here, yet Aasan seemed to feel nothing.
He stayed there for over an hour, not even trying to sleep, as he knew it was quite difficult for him to fall asleep in a foreign place.
Suddenly, the door was knocked twice, yet Aasan stayed in his posture.
The Knocking continued as Aasan opened his eyes. "Who is it?" he asked not too loudly, but there was no reply as the knocking continued.
Shaking his head, Aasan stood up. He checked the knives in his possession before opening the door in alert eyes.
