Alarms rang out and the building started shaking. The Hunters headquarters was under attack! The group rushed down the stairs not risking taking the elevator and being stuck. Amaya led the charge down the stairs because she knew it could only be one group that would attack them so blatantly.
Amaya burst through the door on the ground level to see the doors to the lobby completely destroyed but there was nobody in sight. She walked toward the doors where the street lights shined in her face. Raising her hand to her brow she looked outside to see Rose and some huge muscular man she had never seen before.
"If it isn't little miss squirt gun, we meet again." Rose mocked Amaya.
"If I'm not mistaken you ran away last time we fought. A reaper running from a human, what a shame." Amaya replied.
Rose clicked her tongue in annoyance. "Let's settle this then!"
Amaya used her conductor to summon her daggers, instantly flowing her mana into them. Water started flowing into the crystal pipes throughout the daggers.
Rose put her hands together like she was praying and started to pull them apart. A staff began to come out of one of her hands and she gripped it tightly slamming the end into the ground.
"Last time I didn't use my grim, this time I'm prepared to use everything." Rose taunted Amaya.
Paulina, Cindy and Stephany ran out of the door right as Amaya charged Rose and they began fighting. They stood watching as the fight was moving lightning fast, Paulina had to use her lead hunter ability just to be able to see what was going on. Cindy and Stephany couldn't keep track as they watched in amazement.
In that moment of being unaware there was another person near Cindy was hit and sent flying back inside of the headquarters, slamming into the back wall and knocking her unconscious. Paulina and Stephany jumped backwards avoiding the next strike from the massive muscular man that hit Cindy.
"Me Tank." The man said. "Me kill hunters."
Stephany stepped closer to Paulina as her eyes were glowing intensely. "There's a much smaller man inside of that thing." She whispered. "I think if we're able to strike him we could end this quickly. It won't be easy though he's buried deep in that giant ball of muscle."
Paulina nodded her head and used her realm manipulation sealing off any interference. Now in her royal hall stood her, Stephany and Tank. As the realm formed and Tank looked around he shrunk a little in size.
"Where are we?" He asked.
"You're in my world now and you will get no help from the outside." She replied.
"Is this your soul ability?" Tank asked.
Paulina nodded at him, she began realizing his speech patterns cleared up and he was speaking more clearly then before. Thinking of what could have changed this she realized he gained intelligence as he shrank, the more muscle he produced to cover his actual body the more intelligence it cost him.
Now realizing that if they can push him to use more and more muscle that it may be harder to reach him but it would be an easier fight as he would start to make poor decisions. Paulina leaned toward Stephany and told her everything she put together.
Stephany nodded and pulled her rifle off her back into her hands. Paulina pulled out her pistols from their holsters and winked at the spear holders standing near the throne once again. They had been resurrected since the other night due to the realm being out of use. Once the eye she winked went wide again the two guards threw the spears toward Tank and they pierced his legs.
Tank ripped the spears out of his legs and threw one at Stephany and the other at Paulina, both of them avoiding them. Paulina summoned her Cypress and began running toward Tank. Commanding her cypress to use the slow time ability, Tank was moving in slow motion compared to her. She began running circles around him firing mana loaded pistols at him. The minute of time she had begun to wear off, the time bubble came down and every bullet surrounding him hit.
The slight time between them hitting and the bubble going down he was able to increase his muscle mass and slow the bullets just before hitting him. Noticing quickly that the bullets from the pistol had no effect on him, Stephany fired her rifle. The rifle blew a hole in his stomach leaving the body of the man inside open to attack. The muscle started pulling his body back together to cover himself. Stephany had to load another bullet into her rifle so instead of wasting the time to do so she kicked one of the spears as hard as she could toward Paulina. The spear slid across the ground spinning and stopped right behind Tank.
Paulina noticed that he was dumbing down and reacting slowly to things around him. Paulina slid to the spear and jabbed it through the only opening available remaining from the gunshot wound that was sealing. The spear pierced through the gut of the man inside and the entire muscle form started to shrink. As it completely decayed the man inside was now on his knees in front of both Stephany and Paulina. He looked up at the two of them as Paulina held a pistol to his head, He smiled.
"Thank you." He spoke clearly.
Paulina fired the pistol into the man's head, killing him. She dropped the gun and went down to her knees. The feeling of taking a life even if it was to save her own was hitting her like a truck. With her hands on her face she began crying. Her crown dropped from her head because she lost focus and her realm closed.
Rose looked over after seeing them reappear out of nowhere. She saw Tank on his knees being held in place by a spear and her eyes went wide.
"TANK!"
