Kaiden's POV
"Ladies, on behalf of the council and committee of this tournament, I would like to welcome you all, and I hope you will enjoy your stay here in the Dracousia Kingdom. Please enjoy your breakfast." I said, and I can feel the heaviness of my heart when I finished my welcome address, and Ana and Princess Aliyah are still not around. I try to look at the ladies on their tables, yet I don't find anyone suspicious, and I am sure one or more of them are responsible for their absence. They try to sabotage Ana's chance of winning this competition, and I felt frustrated because I couldn't help her.
I also feel guilty because I know I was why the other candidates noticed her, and I should have controlled myself and let her pass the screening without complications. But Ana can't blame me. If she only told me she was a dragon shifter, everything could be in place. I could have brought her to the palace and introduce her to my father as my girlfriend.
