Chapter 5 - Tell Me Your Wish

"Poinsettia!" A man shouted my name as the door opened harshly. It was Ulrich, the second prince with friendly face. "I don't remember asking for your presence nor to let you in," I said without looking at him. He laughed sarcastically, "Funny to see how you act as if you are the Imperial Princess. I bet on my life that you will never be the Imperial Princess. You even don't deserve the title. "I don't know that I will hear that pointless words from the useless person. Please leave," I replied. "What? What did you say? Useless person? ME!?" He yelled.

Sad, aside from his handsome face and his lovely golden hair with that rabbit like red eyes, Ulrich was the worst since he was a womanizer just like the Emperor and useless in the matter of the Empire's matters.

"Talk about me like that one more time and I won't let you go," Ulrich threatened. "You should know your place well. Do you think grandmother will restore your position as Imperial Princess? Ha! How hilarious, like who are you in this family? Look at that dirty black hair and that personalities. You are just the Ghost of Empire with nasty attitude for punishing innocent maids only because they ignored you."

I gripped the hem of my dress tightly, swallowing in raw every words he said. I swore that one day I would ruin that beautiful face of his so he would never ever bragged about it and be in deep despair, but I tried to control my mind and calm myself. "You've heard the rumors. They deserved to be punished," I replied. "Yeah. Your arrogant and cruel personalities are finally showing. Do you think the people in Empire will let you go?" He asked with a threatening tone. "I guess you are not afraid of me," I said. "I don't really care about you," he said. I glared at him a bit but he didn't seem taken aback by my glare, instead he mocked me even more. "Boo~ I'm scared. Help~ Who do you think you are to scare me?" He scoffed again. "I come here with a warning. Soon grandmother will announce a successor and it will be Harold big brother, so I suggest for you to beg forgiveness for your life from now on or you'll be thrown into the palace's dungeon and stay there until you die."

"Why is this dog bark so much?" I asked in a sarcasm.

"You-- You bitch!" Ulrich yelled in anger. "Now, stop your barking and leave, 2nd Prince. I'm a little busy," I said as I looked at him with a calm expression. I didn't need to listen or handle him with respect anymore since I was treated as a trash by him. As Ulrich was busy throwing his tantrums, Noah who was standing by in front of door came in and held tight on Ulrich. It seemed Noah understood very well that his master had already been patient enough to deal with this uninvited blonde guest.

"You bitch, Poinsettia! Do you think you'll escape after treating me like this!" He kept screaming even after being thrown out by Noah. Fortunate to Noah, I already gave full immunity to whatever he did under my command since he became my personal knight, even if he had to kill someone.

I returned to the newspaper that I hadn't read because of the ruckus, I needed to know well about this country since I'd be this country's Imperial Princess. "Her Majesty the Princess, it's time for your swordsmanship training." A maid with an expressionless face announced, her name's Catherine. Due to my heavy blown, some of the maid that served me left the palace and Catherine, that I chose was the second daughter of Baron Ophelia. She was the excellent student of Liszt University, the first institution of higher education since the founding of the Empire. I requested under the name of the Empress Dowager and of course Catherine couldn't reject my request. Indeed, what a wasteful decision for her to follow me just to be a maid even after she heard the rumors about me. In addition to Catherine, I succeeded in bringing two more capable and smart servants, and I asked them in their first day of work. "How does it feel to work under a nasty master?" "..." Of course no one dared to answer. The rumor that the 1st Princess, who had been treated as a ghost in the Imperial Palace as if never existed, suddenly went insane and beating people randomly.

"The person who has a bad answer will have to drink this," I said while pouring tea into a cup. It was not an ordinary tea cup, it was an impressive high quality tea cup with a lily in which the artist painted each petal in beautiful color. The three maids who watched how the tea cup looked expensive were soon taken aback by my action when I spitted in.

One of them complained, "No matter how much you are as a princess, you dare to insult us, the daughters of the prestigious families!" I laughed out loud when I heard that, it's so hilarious. "It's honestly insulting." "Huh?" It was Catherine who broke my laughter and gave the answer with a serious voice and I liked her for that. "What is the reason?" I asked. "I will become an important figure in this political world of this country. I know it's an honor for be able to work for the Princess, but I didn't study with my blood and sweat only to be a servant," she explained. "I sincerely ask you to return me back to my family." "Silent." Catherine lowered her head in a desperate face she could made. "Listen, I hope you can take this into your mind." Three of them looked at me. "There are only three things to keep in mind as I come out in the future. First, do exactly what you're instructed to do without me repeating my words. Second, do not let me repeat myself. Third, stay on my side. If you keep these things with you, I'll definitely take care of your future well," I said.

Their eyes were shaken as if I said nonsense. "Catherine, I'll put you in the whatever position you wished for. Now what do you two want? Honor? Wealth? Handsome husbands? Say anything you wish to have. I'll give them to you," I continued. They looked hesitate, but the maid who came from the famous journalist Duncan's family Bell said, "I want to be the richest person in the empire." "Good. I'll make you as the second richest in the empire. Next?" I looked at the third maid as she was ready to say hers. Her name's Emily, the second daughter of the Count Nikita's family exclaimed, "How is the princess going to fulfill our wishes? What do we have to believe and follow?"

Of course, they were afraid of empty promises and empty words from known dirty tempered princess, but I was not the useless princess anymore. "So you are saying that I will take back my words? Just tell me your wishes and I will make them come true," I said. They exchanged glance and stole glance to the tea cup filled with my spit in it. "I want to marry the Duke of Oncidium," Emily finally spoke out her desire. Oncidium? Are you referring to a young peacock who is known to be as cold and clean as the water on the top of the Mount Eclamen? He's a brat. "Okay, Emily. I'll get him to kneel at your feet and kiss your feet," I said.

The three maids somehow felt that this insane princess would really fulfill their wishes. "I will be the empress. You will have to help. If you follow me without betraying me, I will surely fulfill your wishes. For that purpose, I hope you will be prepared to serve me the bad tempered princess. What do you think?" I added.

And that's how the three decided to share their fates with me.
